should i retake ACT or SAT?

as the title suggests, i don’t know which one to retake.

i’ve taken the ACT once without studying (april ACT), and i received a 34 reading, 32 english, and a 22 math (29 composite score).

initially, i planned to retake the act since the math is multiple choice and i liked the format more, but i’ve been waiting to sign up because i took the SAT immediately after and wanted to wait for the results.

i’ve taken the SAT three times (twice not counting the school day SAT) and the third score came today. on the may SAT, i received a 1360 (740 rw, 620 math), which is a 70 point improvement from the dec SAT i took (1290; 710 rw, 580 math).

my goal currently is to receive a score high enough for decent scholarships and possible admission into the honors colleges of the schools i’m applying to (primarily state schools, but i live in florida so those state schools include uf and fsu).

i don’t know which one to retake. i like the ACT math more and the ACT format in general, but i’ve already demonstrated improvement in the SAT. i would take the ACT in july or the SAT in august. should i retake the SAT and aim for a 1460 superscore? or should i take the ACT and aim for a 33-34 superscore? which one is more realistic? which one is better for my goals?

hello! i took the act for the first time in april (no studying) and received a 29 composite score. the 29 gets me a state scholarship i was aiming for, but i want to boost my score to at least a 32-33 or higher to hopefully qualify for the honors colleges of the schools i plan on applying to (primarily state or public schools).

is this a good starting score? how should i practice to improve my math? are there any topics that tend to show up more than others? is precalc-calc knowledge required? are there any resources (besides the act guide) that anyone recommends? i would especially appreciate online resources that fall in line with the current format of the act :)
