Dutch is, in fact, a real language.

My native language is Thai, and it has only aspects(simple, continuous, perfective) So, it's easy to grasp that concept, but the thing is. I always have trouble with tenses when I'm speaking. Maybe it's because my language marks the time of action explicitly. For example, I would say "He did that" correctly, but when it comes to "He did it 10 minutes ago" My brain will immediately say "He does it 10 minutes ago", it's like when the time phrase is present, my tense disappears. Or another one, "If he had thought more carefully, this wouldn't have happened" I would say it automatically as "If he thinks more carefully then, this won't happen" See, when "Then" is there, my tense goes away for some reason. Is this a problem?
