[W][US-CO]Raspberry Pi or Thin Client
Looking for the cheapest machine to display grafana dashboard on a monitor I have laying around. Let me know if you’ve got even like a pi3 in a parts drawer somewhere.

Did some agressive defoliation 2 days ago and my RH is still sitting in the high 60s. In basement in Colorado, venting outside, I feel like I shouldn’t need a dehumidifier, but these numbers sound like they need one. Fan is 6in ac infinity running at full blast. Temps are 74 lights on 71 lights off, though I could get them a bit higher in the day if my fan weren’t running I bet.
Picked the best time to build a NAS :). Would also look at 18TB units. Hoping to pay $12-15TB depending on POH.
Hey folks I am currently in the process of adding 2x NAS to my setup and wondering how people handle mixed backup workloads of a bunch of VMs+LXCs, but also my home directory from my laptop.
I was going to run PBS baremetal on the backup NAS (2) and then PVE on the "live" NAS (1). Then backup from my laptop to NAS 1 using borg or something, and backup that share to NAS 2 with proxmox-backup-client. Is there a more elegant way to do this? How are people handling backup up both VM/LXC and their personal data to a NAS? The upsides of PBS seem incredible for backup up proxmox stuff, but it seems clunky to add other stuff to the baremetal PBS host.
Hey folks looking for 3x NVMe SSD as proxmox boot drives for my compute node and 2x NAS. Would be interested in 128 and 256gb sizes. Looking for 2280 drives. Would also look at 2.5in SATA drives.
Thanks!
Hello all. I am looking for a CWWK or Topton NAS motherboard, ideally N100 or N305 that supports DDR5, a DDR5 SODIMM (16gb+), a SFF PSU, and a Jonsbo N3 case. Let me know if you have these parts, would also entertain miniITX+CPU+cooler combos that aren't N100/N305 (intel preferred). Also looking for 3x 128gb NVME boot drives.
Thanks!
EDIT: Got a Mobo+CPU. Ordered case and PSU. Still looking for DDR5 SODIMMs PM if ya got 'em
Hey folks, I am selling off some parts from mining rigs that I got from a buddy. I have 2 fan and 3 fan versions of the 6600XT, will be selling for the same price. I've got 3 PSUs, 2 with 8-pin cables for the CPU and one without, which I'll be pricing for less. Cables are shown in the imgur post, and each PSU will come with the shown cables, you can get more through the usual channels.
GPUs have NOT been confirmed working but are presumed working, and were not overclocked to my knowledge. I will ship them in antistatic bags, and if one doesn't power on, please let me know and I will send you a return label and refund you. Don't want to be sending out dead GPUs just hoping people can put these to good use 😄.
I know stuff is a bit dusty I will dust everything with compressed air before shipping.

Jeez that was a lot of DMs. Will reply to everybody Sunday 5/31. PM if interested in power supplies.
Prices are as follows:
Hey folks I am in the process of adding backups and media to my homelab to prepare to cancel my iCloud and Spotify subscriptions and be totally subscription free (other than some cloud storage provider for offsite backups until I can put a NAS offsite)
Here’s what’s running now:
- GMKTek miniPC with 2x 2.5gbe ports runs networking stuff (OPNSense, Technitium, Unifi)
- Beelink mini S12 runs all my apps.
I just got an elite desk that I’m going to swap out for the S12, but am planning a NAS build and have the following questions:
- Images/music on a separate ZFS pool on the NAS and backed up to the main pool? Or use an external drive enclosure with the elite desk? All on nas means single point of failure and I’m not sure whether it counts as 2 copies for my 3-2-1 strategy. Split means USB drive enclosure.
- Dual mirrored SSDs on my main app machine is what I’ve seen people do, but does that make sense even if I have robust backups? Downtime would be annoying, so probably.
- I have a spare 2tb SSD. Where does it make the most sense to put it? I was thinking in the nas use it split between fast storage and a cache for the drives.
I’m leaning towards putting all my storage in the NAS, and then running proxmox. Passing drives thru to truenas VM and then running jellyfin+immich+navidrome in proxmox on the NAS to save a network trip. Leaning towards dual drives on the main app machine and single boot drives on the network+storage node.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks in advance. Building soon since it doesn’t look like storage is getting any cheaper :(
