Cherokee Purple Tomatoes blossom drop

I have two Cherokee Purple tomato plants, and two jellybean tomato plants in the same spot, with the same water, with the same fertilization...the jellybeans are loaded and doing great, while the Cherokee Purples have a single tomato between them. They have lots of blooms, the plants look happy, but they are dropping all their blossoms. Why?! They are my favorite tomatoes, this is so sad!

What milk did I put in my coffee in PV?

This is a very silly question, but two weeks ago my family and I stayed for a week in Puerto Vallarta (actually in Nayarit, at Villa la Estancia). Every morning at breakfast, there was a little pitcher of milk/cream on the table for the coffee. It didn't seem as creamy as half and half, and it was much more of a tan color and less-white than I'm used to. It was really nice and I liked it, but I never asked the hotel staff what it was. I thought for a while maybe it was evaporated milk, but I tried that in my coffee this morning, and it's not really the same taste or color. Is there a particular type of milk that hotels in the area typically use for coffee? I live in an area of California with many Mexican grocery stores, and I might be able to get it here if I knew what it was!

Who has a bomb recipe for "bacon"?

Tomato season is almost upon us, and my family does love a good BLT, but we aren't eating pork these days. I know there are a million different recipes out there for plant-based bacon. IMO, it doesn't really need to taste like bacon (how could it), but it needs to be crispy, salty, and smoky to compliment the tomato. Hit me up with the best way to satisfy the B in a BLT!

Dish for a grieving family

Some family friends have to say goodbye to their dog today. They are all devastated, and I'd like to bring them some food - I know food doesn't erase grief, but it seems like the thing to do.

What are your favorite condolence recipes? Could be a main dish (dinner) or a baked good/dessert. No dietary restrictions, but their kids (teens/tweens) are pretty picky eaters.

Edit: On the general advice of the thread, I brought lasagna, a caesar salad, and chocolate chip cookies. They were well-received, and I hope they helped save the family a little energy on a very draining day.

Can maxi dresses be cocktail?

I wore this dress for the first time to a (non-wedding) event over the weekend. I love it so much, it's so pretty and fits me so well. The fabric is sort of satiny and lightly textured. Would it qualify as cocktail? I have a "fall cocktail" wedding that I have a dress for, but I would love a reason to wear this again.

We put in a mandarin tree 5 or 6 years ago. It has never really produced fruit, but it has been pretty small. This year it seems large enough, it had hundreds and hundreds of beautiful blossoms, was absolutely covered in bees while it was blooming so it seems like it should have been well-pollinated, and was absolutely LOADED with little green baby mandarins...which are all now turning yellow and falling off. We have not been great about fertilizing, so I know we could improve in that area, but the tree looks healthy. I thought we'd get at least a few! What can I do next year to try to get some mandarins?
