A funny note
I watch most of the reruns on Buzzer and I have to laugh because on almost every show they give away, or try to give away, that same broken down camper you tow?

Am I wrong or is this game a sure thing if you get only 1 number right?
I’m watching Buzzer right now and the prize was an actual professional hot dog stand🤷♀️
What are some of the outside of nyc episodes that are faves and not a fave! I don’t care for Charles Boyer, Coming Home from Europe, Ricky Sells the Car, not a big fan of the John Wayne arc. Love the Florida trip.
Can anyone suggest the best strategy for Lucky 7, That’s Too Much, and Gas Money?
Someone mentioned that LS is the least transparent game and I’m thinking the same. The contestant picks a number and the prize comes up. Usually they pick a second number and another prize or lose everything comes up. How is this honest? The show can pick and choose the prizes with no oversight based on their last second decision. Every other game you know what you’re going to win. Maybe they should show all the prizes on the board, then mix them up, then show them again at the end how they landed so people know it’s honest. Yes, no?
I see online that there are only tapings from July 23-August 31 listed at 7:30am. That seems like a very limited amount.
In the old reruns on Buzzer I often hear Bob say, don’t stop it too soon because we can’t start it up again for a week or some amount of time? Was that for real and if so, why?
What scenes can you think of in which they used long shots without dialogue-like driving or walking - with stand ins? For example, I just watched First Stop and there were long shots of Ricky driving and it obviously wasn’t Desi, and in the same episode Lucy gets out of the car to walk to Aunt Sally’s and it was obviously not her, different outfit, figure, etc. And that Aunt Sally bit was so funny.
Today I watched 3 episodes from this season which featured Rat Race. I believe that this is the only game where, even if you get all the answers correctly, you’re subject to the peculiarities of a machine to actually win the game. Your knowledge or ability plays no part. Am I missing another game that does this? Also, the rats are dime store wind up toys which are designed to lose momentum quickly. I watched closely and saw that 1 or 2 of the rats actually do slow down pretty quickly with the other rats, but then take a jump and speed up again to win. I’m not sure there isn’t any under or even on the table mechanics directing this.
Isn’t getting a rat malfunction, though, like getting a Plinko chip stuck on the board but they allow a redo of the Plinko chip?
Some people mentioned this game today. Every now and then a rat that was selected malfunctions or falls off the track. I believe they should restart or replace the rat. It’s not fair to the contestant. What do you think?
This games seems so difficult esp if you have more than 2 boxes left. Is there any trick or strategy to it?
Today I saw a show from I guess the 80’s where an older gentleman won Ten Chances in just three tries. Bob made a huge deal about it being the first time it was ever done. Anyone know if it has ever been done since? The car he won was strange- a Chevy 3 cylinder Sprint. 3 cylinders?
Which game or two do you think would make people most upset if it were removed from the show?
Last week’s Lion’s Share was a great payoff, but I heard she would walk away with only about 70k?
Also, I rewatched the premiere episode of the season when they played Lion’s Share for the first time and the prizes were nothing great….at least to me. A trip to Tokyo, $2,000, two guitars and something else unimpressive.
What do you consider the best/worst prizes to win? I’d say cash or car is the best and hot tubs the worst. I wonder, also, how many people like trips when they are to uncommon locations such as Viet Nam.
I’ve seen this on the weekday Barker reruns. It was a little flat or boring but I thought it was a good way to involve home viewers. Does anyone think there should or could be a way for home participation?
Come on Down book
I was reading the Come on Down book and they said that these were the worst games that had to be stopped: Add em up, Bump, checkout ( I thought that is still played) double bullseye, double digits, finish line, fortune hunter, gallery game, give or keep, hit me, hurdles, it’s optional, masterpiece, mystery price, the old “balance game”, on the nose, on the spot, penny ante, phone home, split decision, trader Bob, walk of fame, super saver, super ball,
I only know bump, hit me, the old balance game, on the nose, penny ante, and the phone game. I liked the phone game but the rest deserved to be discontinued
Anyone remember any of these?
