Anybody have any experience getting a new title for a a vehicle with a salvage title?

I came across what looks like a pretty good deal for a 100 Series that looks pretty good besides what looks to me like relatively minor damage to the front bumper and fender and headlight. The sellers description says that it has a salvage title but runs and drives fine. Said he bought it back from his insurance and was going to fix it , but changed his mind. Said it can't be driven legally until it's repaired and has a new title. I haven't personally talked to the seller yet, but I'm wondering if it's a situation where his insurance "totaled" it because they didn't want to pay to repair it, and it was cheaper for them to just total it and give a low-ball payout to the guy. I'm wondering if he just doesn't have the money to fix it right now and decided to sell it. The damage doesn't even look like anything that would've damaged the frame. I've seen more damaged vehicles driving on the road plenty of times and I'm a little confused as to why this Cruiser would have a salvage title. Does anyone have any experience with dealing with salvage titles ? If so, how much of a pain is it?

I need help identifying shower shut off valve stem.

My house was built in 1965, and I dont know of this stuff is original plumbing or not. It has the 3 knobs for hot, shower, and cold . The cold is leaking from faucet all the time and wasting water, and even when the shower is on some water still runs out of the tub faucet. I figure all 3 stems should be replaced while im doing this. Ive watched a couple of YouTube videos and it seems fairly straightforward but im not sure which replacement stems I should get. I dont know if you can identify it from the photo or not, but any help would be appreciated.

Spotted this beauty today while I was getting a new muffler put on my 1997 FZJ80

The guy at the shop said the owner just had this beast imported. The temp tag says its a 1992 model. Ive never seen one of these in my area. Also, Im not familiar with that model of FJ40 on the trailer beside it. LMAO

What would you pay for a 1999 100 Series with almost 300k miles?

I haven't seen this 100 in person, just photos online. It looks decent in the photos. It doesn't appear to have any body damage. No photos of frame. Interior looks good except for drivers seat. It has factory lockers. Almost 300k miles. Says it runs great. He is asking $12k. Is it worth that?
