After testing out a bunch of solutions, I finally found three reliable ways to process photos of real faces to bypass Seedance's face detection:

1. Grid overlay
By placing a grid over the face, you can occlude the facial features just enough to bypass detection while still giving the model enough detail to generate the video. (Note: This can sometimes introduce grid artifacts on the generated faces).

2. Scenery overlay
Create a double exposure effect to blend the facial features with a background scene. You’ll probably need to tweak the opacity to get the best results.

3. Character sheet
You can use Nano Banana Pro to turn your portrait into a character sheet, making the face much smaller in the frame. Seedance 2.0 is still smart enough to generate accurate videos based on these references—sometimes even better than using a single portrait!

Note that Cyberbara actually works natively with real faces most of the time and is much less restrictive than other platforms. But if you do hit a wall, give these methods a try!
