Collaboration badges visible on the top level are loverly. I’ve a rennova underway and it’s nice to see who’s doing what. Some of the “collaborators” are more “doers” - like I’m not expecting the paint crew to download TickTick. But I would like to hand the painters their list and be able to see quickly what’s painters - especially if I have an actual collaborator running a room.

The workaround (as is often the case) is tags. I create a tag for each person I can group by tag etc. But why not be able to assign a collaborator even if they don’t sign up for the app? I’m guessing this is an MBA saying “network effect” to the CEO “we’ll just force our users to recruit other users”. Sure - but it ends up defanging the collaboration tool. If I can’t use it for every person working this job then I can’t really use it for anyone as I have to create tags and I need to pick a methodology.

so the request is “please uncripple collaboration so I can name a person and easily adding them tasks without forcing them to sign up for TickTick”

I’m setting up a filter for calls so I can show it on a widget.

Here’s the logic

The item must be tagged “client“

Then

The item must be flagged as one of several call flags (active, intag, outag etc)

OR

The item must be overdue.

The hoped for output is a client who either has a tag or is overdue.

Heres how I have it in the filter

Client AND tag OR overdue

What this gives me is (Client AND tag) OR overdue. So I get every overdue topic whether it is a client or not. What I want is Client AND (tag OR overdue)

I can set up two separate filters - but doing so means I then need two widgets and my widget stack is already full.

If a filter could call other filters then I could set up a meta filter that grabs the two other filters. Sadly I can’t do that either it seems - I can only grab a list.

if I could make tag rules then I could make that work eg a rule that says “if overdue then tag Item “due”“ - but I don’t think there is smart tagging, so no joy there.

Has anyone faced this or have a smart way to work around a problem like this?

I’m trying to collaborate on a list.

Im using the “share“ function because my contractors aren’t the most tech savvy.

text share works ok.

but image share just prints a long white box - blank.

im on iOS and im on dark mode (latest iOS version a 17max pro phone).

I looked for a place to report this in the app - but I couldn’t find a “contact us” link anywhere - so posting it here in the hope this makes it over to folks who can fix it.
