Your sorting by time of the day is wrong!

When you sort tasks by time is there a way to have tasks without a time appear before tasks with the time?

I think having tasks without a time after the tasks with the time is not very convenient - it typically means either you have to assign a time (it has to happen at a specific time, but you missed adding the field), or it means you can do it any time of the day, so I should consider to do it now.

For example, if it's 2pm and I have the list

* 6pm Meet Andy

* Clean up my room

This ordering is absolutely not how you want to order things. And I cannot think of a reason in the world why you'd order them this way. I want to consider "clean up my room", and not feel like there is nothing to do until 6pm when I meet Andy. maybe I want to assign 8pm to it, so it moves after the meeting with Andy. I definitely don't want to think about the tasks in the order above.

It's also not consistent with other apps. Look at, for example, Google calendar which has all day events and tasks at the top, before all the specific events and tasks.

Is there a Motion/Reclaim style AI scheduling app that works with ticktick?

I love TickTick and there's no app that beats it in this space. I've left to use Todoist + Reclaim but I always find myself coming back. The user experience is hard to beat, the notifications never fail(especially the persistent reminders), the calendar just works and it even has habit tracking and a pomodoro timer I do not have to pay for separately. It would be good to have AI auto-scheduling though.

Is there an app like these that works natively with TickTick?

Advanced filter (associative) challenge

I’m setting up a filter for calls so I can show it on a widget.

Here’s the logic

The item must be tagged “client“

Then

The item must be flagged as one of several call flags (active, intag, outag etc)

OR

The item must be overdue.

The hoped for output is a client who either has a tag or is overdue.

Heres how I have it in the filter

Client AND tag OR overdue

What this gives me is (Client AND tag) OR overdue. So I get every overdue topic whether it is a client or not. What I want is Client AND (tag OR overdue)

I can set up two separate filters - but doing so means I then need two widgets and my widget stack is already full.

If a filter could call other filters then I could set up a meta filter that grabs the two other filters. Sadly I can’t do that either it seems - I can only grab a list.

if I could make tag rules then I could make that work eg a rule that says “if overdue then tag Item “due”“ - but I don’t think there is smart tagging, so no joy there.

Has anyone faced this or have a smart way to work around a problem like this?

How to use normal notifications instead of constant buzzing like an alarm?

I want my reminder notifications to buzz once, just like when I received a text message or an email. Instead, they act like an alarm and keep buzzing and buzzing. I'm new to the app, am I missing an obvious setting? It seems like the "constant reminder" setting just reminds you every 5 minutes, that's fine, the part that annoys me is vibrating a dozen times in 30 seconds. I turned off alert mode and that didn't change it either, I'm not really understanding what that's supposed to do

Visual Progress Widgets for Habits (Circles & Bars)

Hey everyone! I love using TickTick to track my daily habits, but I really think we are missing out on good visual widgets for the home screen.

It would be a game-changer to have dedicated habit widgets that use circular progress rings or horizontal progress bars. Being able to see a visual breakdown of a daily goal at a glance (like 130/200 pages read) right on my phone's home screen would massively boost motivation.

Does anyone else feel like this would be a great addition to the app? I’d love to see the devs implement something like this!

Ticktick Premium

Hello everyone,

I have a question about TickTick Premium.

In the free version, there's a limit of 9 lists. Let's say I subscribe to Premium and create more than 9 lists. What happens if I later cancel my Premium subscription?

Will the lists that exceed the free limit, along with all their content, be locked or deleted? Or do you receive a warning before so you can back up or reorganize your data?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

How would you prioritize tasks for college courses?

New user here! Sorry if this is basic af, I have ADHD pretty bad and really struggle with this stuff.

I’ve always heard that “high priority” tasks should be saved for absolutely no more than 3, and preferably 1 task per day, and that medium and low priority could be basically any number. This was always helpful.

But that system just doesn’t work for coursework and I’m really not sure how to prioritize things now? Like let’s say I have a bunch of graded assignments due this week, with four of the six being worth a significant amount of points. Then, there are lectures and readings I need to get through to be able to complete those assignments at all.

It feels like the readings and such are less of a priority because they’re ungraded, but if I really need them to complete the work, are they really?

How would you prioritize this kind of work? I really like Eisenhower matrixes for just picking something to do but I’m overwhelmed. I’d like to get it sorted during the summer semester so I’m set for a busy autumn!

Why does TickTick keep the CSV format for import a secret?

Looking all over the web, in the documentation on TickTick, its nowhere to be found.

Why?

Is this to force people to import from apps to correlate data for telemetry and hoovering up your personal identity?

I really can't think of any other reason. Why make this so fxxking hard?

Date and time stamp buttons in the main edit screens

I assume you can't but it would be nice to be able to choose which buttons are available in the ribbon when editing a task. To get to the date stamp it's too many clicks and buried under formating

Thx

Remind Me Before 12 Weeks

I've got a couple due dates that are way out in the future, think 2-15 years. I'd like to get reminded about them, but the maximum reminder I can set seems to be 12 weeks. Is there a way to set reminders early than that?

I was thinking I can create multiple subtasks, so I can use those as reminders. But is there a better approach?

Back Button

I really miss having a 'back' button to return to the previous page in the Windows version of TickTick. It doesn't need to be anything fancy, just a simple BACK button, similar to the one we have in Chrome. What do you guys think?
