I can't figure out when my reminders would pop up on my Apple Watch (Series 6, watchOS 26.5) only sometime. Why would I not get a notification on my Apple Watch every time a reminder pops up on my locked iPhone? All my inbox items have a date and time, and TickTick is checked under Mirror iPhone Alerts From list under Notifications inside of Watch app.
I just paid for premium. I like TickTick so far, but coming from Microsoft To Do, I already miss the comparatively cleaner look of the "Today" view in To Do. TickTick, please give us a toggle to turn off the Task Details pane on the right in the Today view.
xoxo
Hey all, recently noticed that TickTick's desktop app was super laggy whereas its web version was not. I was curious, so I ran an energy report on my Windows PC and found that:
My PC is around 4-5 years old at this point, so its performance isn't fantastic, but I believe that it's TickTick's poor optimization that is the primary cause of this problem. I do realize that some devs maintain their Mac app more their Windows app, so perhaps this is a Windows-only issue. Have any other Windows users experienced this issue as well? If you're a Mac user, how has your experience using the TickTick desktop app been?
I also think that if enough of us share our feedback, perhaps the dev team will be more inclined to improve how TickTick is optimized in the future for a more stable and power-efficient app. Thoughts?
Over the years I've tried and used various systems for staying organized. Paper, Google tasks, todoist, notion, others. I've used ticktick for almost 3 years, at the start of this year I resolved to switch to paper... And I'm back.
The mix of features fits my needs just right - priority, subtasks, dates, tags, reminders, variety of widgets, and for me the crown jewel is the Eisenhower view. I use it more as a dashboard than prioritizing tool, but the customizable central view is clutch. It all adds up to a process that works perfectly for me.
What keeps y'all using ticktick?
Hello there, a couple hours ago I was trying to connect Ticktick to my Codex app in Windows, using ticktick's official guide but it wasn't working, after trying a couple things I was able to make it work, so I wanted to share it with you.
Plugin Creator help me create a plugin to use the ticktick MCP so that codex can interact with Ticktick, look here's the official ticktick's MCP documentation https://help.ticktick.com/articles/7438129581631995904
I installed Ticktick's MCP using the codex cli, instead of using the one in the interface running these commands:
npm i -g u/openai/codex codex mcp add ticktick --url https://mcp.ticktick.com
I also removed the MCP that was created automatically during the plugin creation using this command (if your codex didn't create an mcp during the plugin creation, then you don't have to do this step):
codex mcp remove ticktick_mcp
Setup the plugin so it works with the mcp we installed before

That's it, hope it's useful for other people with the same issue.
Date recognition works great when creating new tasks, is there a way to have it turned on in edit? Eg I created a quick task and later I come in and want to set a date, instead of going to the date selector, is there a way that I could type "tomorrow 2pm" and that would work in the edit title section?
I’ve been with Toodledo for years now and I really like it but having to use a web browser for Windows isn’t right for me.
If I jump to Ticktick, am I going to regret it?
Something that the native Apple Calendar app does is allow you to set a location at which an event happens, which also conveniently is displayed in notifications or widgets too, I believe. At least on my Apple Watch, I can see the location for every task with a location. I see that TickTick has a location reminder feature, but I would find it nice to be able to see the location displayed with the task at a glance.
I pulled the trigger and got premium. This is just for personal use. I cannot state enough how difficult it is to find a calendar app with all the features I want, and I don't think I'm asking for much. I have tried so many...
What sold me:
Hope I'll have no regrets but I think I'll be happy with it. The only other feature I wish to see is creating project boards with tasks/to-do lists that have no dates assigned to them, so they're separate from the calendar. Then this app would truly be all powerful.
I've been using TickTick premium for some years and it's been useful but I don't really use all of their features, basically just the tasks. I pay mostly for the task/list limit and for the possibility of adding pictures and other files to each task, which I've found reaaally useful.
I have never used Notion but I've heard it's super complete and customizable and I'm wondering if there's a way of customizing it to work exactly as TickTick for the tasks, at least, without having to pay a subscription.
Anyone here has done something similar? I'm also open to other app alternatives with no subscription or just a lifetime subscription.
I want to keep "Take Out the Trash" on Mondays but it just clutters the feed to see the future occurrences.
"Please note that the Convert to Event option will only be available if you have subscribed to a third-party calendar that supports event creation in TickTick. We recommend trying to subscribe to the Local Calendar or Google Calendar to try this feature." - TickTick Support Team
Edit : Use the minimized Quick Add option; not available once you "Full Screen" the Quick Add !
Not really a question because I know the answer. Just wanted to vent out a little. Ticktick not having the ability to sort tasks by added date is absolute bonkers. I mean the whole point of todo apps is to free your mind from things that are bothering you and if the moment you add them to your app they immediately get lost in the enormous dump that ticktick is - well, that defeats the whole point of this app. This really is a bug and it is ridiculous.
Is there a possibility to add in the near future a lifetime purchase? Thank you.
Hey, is there a way either in TickTick or in Apple Reminders for that matter (I'll take anything) where I can set a reminder to ring my phone like an alarm when it reaches that time? I've tried using reminders but they don't work for me because in order for me to remember, I have to be absolutely interrupted, it needs to ring my phone like its my wakeup alarm
I’m researching how people plan their day and build habits without getting overwhelmed. What’s the hardest part for you: sticking to the plan, choosing priorities, tracking habits, or recovering after missing a day?
Not trying to be dramatic but Todoist MCP is free. Anyone can use it.
TickTick drops MCP as part of their big AI update and it's Pro only. Most of their userbase just... can't use it.
MCP is supposed to be the thing that makes your app sticky for AI users and developers. Gating it defeats the whole purpose. You're not gonna convince free users to upgrade because of an integration they've never been able to try.
Seems like a weird move. Curious if anyone on Pro actually finds it useful or if it's just a bullet point on the pricing page.
