What could happen if Tesla and SpaceX merged? (From a Tesla investor's perspective)

I've been thinking about this for a while, but I don't really understand how mergers like this work.

On paper, I'm not very excited about the idea of Tesla merging with SpaceX. One reason is that SpaceX's valuation looks pretty stretched to me (although you could say the same about Tesla to some extent). The difference is that I have more confidence in where Tesla is heading with robots, robotaxis, etc., and I can see a scenario where the current valuation is eventually justified.

Another concern is that SpaceX now includes xAI. Personally, I see xAI as a huge money and resource sink, and I'm not even sure it will ever generate meaningful economic returns, even in the long term given the level of competition.

My biggest question is: how would a merger actually work for Tesla shareholders?

My main fear is dilution. If Tesla merged with SpaceX, is there a scenario where Tesla investors end up owning a smaller piece of the combined company than expected?

And let's say, hypothetically, that SpaceX offered to buy Tesla at $600 per share as part of the deal. If some shareholders didn't agree with the merger, would they have the option to sell their shares for $600 in cash, or would they automatically receive shares in the new combined company? How much choice do shareholders usually have in situations like this?

I'm probably missing a lot here, so I'd love to hear from people who understand mergers better than I do.

Would you want a robot that looks almost human?

I recently found out that UBTECH has created a subsidiary called UWorld that is making very human-like robots.

The idea is that these robots could provide companionship, emotional support, and even replace some human interactions.

To be honest, that gives me a weird feeling. Personally, I don't want robots that look almost exactly like people. I'd rather always know that a robot is a robot. But that's just my opinion.

What surprised me is that these robots are still pretty limited. They only have around 2 to 4 hours of battery life, the AI isn't that advanced yet, and their facial expressions are still quite basic.

Even so, they apparently got more than 13,000 pre-orders in a little over a month.

From an investment point of view, that's really interesting because it suggests there could be a huge market for this kind of products.

The bigger question is where all of this is going. Are people really going to start replacing some human relationships with robots? And is that a future we actually want?

The "following" feed doesnt show me anything, and I am being forced to use the "for you" feed

Am I the only one having problems with the "for you" feed? Does anyone know how to solve it?

I mean, WTF did Reddit do? I genuinely loved the way the app worked. It was incredibly useful for keeping up with the topics I care about without having to scroll through a ton of garbage. How can they mess it up this badly?

UBTECH Walker C1

I just watched this video and I was honestly surprised by how much this company’s capabilities have improved.

Until now, I think all their models looked quite clumsy and had slow, awkward movements, but here there’s a clear step forward.

What stands out the most is how much more fluid the motion looks. It feels like they’re starting to close the gap with more advanced players in robotics like Figure or Tesla.

Interesting to see where this is all heading
