Should i maintain my high protein diet while sick?

Im an athlete that trains 3x a week and started going to the gym x3 a week too. I didnt last long in the gym (around 1 week) because I got badly sick and was prohibited exercise. Since then, two months have passed and I haven't exercised because I'm still sick. Should I mantain my high protein diet while sick even if I'm not working out or should i lower it and eat more once I'm fully recovered to exercise again? I want to avoid accumulating fat in my body and to lose muscle ive built. I rather lose muscle than to accumulate fat honestly, since for me it is very difficult to loose it.
