i know i post a lot of questions and i'm sorry lol, i just really wanna understand it and get real answers from real owners!

why is my curly hair tarantula sling covering the entrances of its burrows as if its going into premolt, but also digging its way back out and making a hole in the substrate that is placed at the entrances of its burrow??

im struggling to understand this behaviour, i thought my T was going into premolt as after it webbed its enterance, it took all the web away and a day later it had covered two of the enterances to its burrow and when i checked on it last, there was a gap/hole in the main entrance of its burrow again and i saw it peeking out with said substrate in its mouth.

how do i fully know if my T is going into premolt if its acting abit funny like this?? im a first T owner and my little curly hair has never acted like this so it does make me think that it definitely is preparing for a molt; if its still peeking out does that mean i can still offer food?? and if so are there any reasonable ways to crush a crickets head if i already struggle catching the crickets themselves??

i need help with learning and knowing pretty much anything so if anyone could give me answers on anything to do with this behaviour, and anything to do with premolting and how to handle a premolt, and also how i can fill up the water dish (aka a bottle lid) if when i open the enclosure it sort of startles my T, which obviously i dont wanna do if and when it ends up molting??

if anyone takes the chance to answer i am really greatful. thank you. 🩶

how do i know if my curly hair sling is going into premolt???

i have asked many questions about my sling since owning it, i have no clue how old it is or how many times its molted before, but its definitely over an inch big maybe 2 inches? i have no photos i can show but getting to the point, my sling (banshee) has definitely developed a patch on its abdomen and i cant tell if its just the patch that it flicks hairs from or if its the patch they get to show they are in premolt.

its a pretty big dark patch but it doesn't look bald, i can see clearly that it still has loads of hairs on its abdomen and i also fed it two crickets today and it ate them both, the first one was super tiny so it was barely anything, the second cricket was a good size and it took it into its burrow to eat it, but as it was holding it in its fangs it did begin to web the enterance and today was the day i left my boyfriends house (banshee lives there with us because i basically live there) and my boyfriend is panicked that my sling may be going into premolt but im super confused, any advice would be great, i only have a photo on the webbing banshee has done on the enterance of its burrow but no photos of its abdomen unfortunately.

is my curly hair spiderlings abdomen too small???

first photo is one i got of it when i first got it (4th July) others are from right now today (7th july) i know they aren't insanely clear but the enclosure it was given to me in is abit misty looking so i cant get great photos :(

Hey, this is my first time owning any tarantula/spiderling. when i bought it from a shopowner there was a moult in its enclosure its currently in now but its fangs are black so first of all that makes me assume that it may have moulted maybe a week before i got it and saw it at the shop?? not too sure as again im a first time owner and im just purely guessing and possibly remembering some research could be completely wrong. I fed the spiderling a small cricket on the day i got it (4th july) it ate perfectly and quite fast! i then decided to feed it again two days later (6th July) as i was going to feed it 3-4 days later but i was worried its abdomen was looking pretty small again it took it ant ate it pretty fast, in my mind that meant it was definitely hungry and im worried that its abdomen doesnt look that much bigger and looks too small?? any words of advice and just help in general would be great as im extremely worried im not doing the right thing and i need to know if i should feed it again possibly tomorrow or wait the 3-4 days to feed it again im not too sure what to do, so any advice means a lot!
