Trout on the lower Clackamas?

I was out at Barton park very early last weekend and was seeing a bunch of fish rise. I was questioning this but then I saw some bird, an Osprey I believe, grab a fish. After that I saw a few much larger fish rise.

Anyways I am relatively new here and have heard from a few people that targeting trout on the lower Clackamas is mostly not worth it. I was wondering if thats true? I was planning on taking my 5wt out and attempting to catch some.

I don't have the gear to steelhead yet so I would be elated if people have success fly fishing for trout that close to Portland.

EDIT: I have been informed that these were smolts. Advice I got was go up the clack for trout or try streams!

Advisors

I’m curious to hear anecdotal experiences from founders who gave equity to an advisor/s.

A few specific questions:
- At what stage of the product/business did you bring them on?
- What made them worth equity instead of just a casual mentor relationship?
- How much equity did you give?
- In hindsight, were you happy with the decision?

For context, we are pre-revenue and wrapping up a successful beta. The beta went very well and has attracted some interest from investors and potential advisors.

Two people we have been talking with on and off for about 6 months have strong track records, they have raised from VCs before, and are active in our market. They seem more interested in advising than investing right now, mainly because we are still pre-revenue. That said, they said they would write angel checks for ad spend and acquiring users.

They also brought up the idea of “sweat equity” versus a smaller equity grant, both with vesting and a cliff. The amount would depend on the actual scope of work and level of involvement.

I have not done this before, so I’m trying to understand what is normal and what isn't (other than what I can search/AI for). Would appreciate any stories or lessons learned.
