Do you still eat normal carbs on Mounjaro / GLP-1s?

Hey everyone,

Edit: Thank you so much for all the reactions. So to see it differs, and it depends on the person and your own preferences. I haven’t hoped for so many reactions, so will try to respond to them as far as I can :)

I’ve been on my GLP-1 journey for about 7 months now (started on Ozempic, moved to Mounjaro 7.5mg recently), and I'm down 6 kg (13 lbs).

Right now, I don't count calories or follow a strict diet like keto. I still eat carbs and sweets when I feel like it - just smaller amounts because of the medication's appetite suppression.

No, I'm not hoping that medicine only will do its job, without changing my eating patterns & lifestyle. I just wonder if it's me (ADHD + Insulin Resistance) or should I just go up to 10mgs to see some greater effect.

I'm curious to hear how others approach this: Do you actively restrict carbs/sugar, or do you just eat normal foods in moderation and let the medication do its work? Did changing your carb intake make a noticeable difference in your pace?

Would love to hear your experiences!
