"Let's play good guys against bad guys...yes, let's play that." [MM][Ending][Spoilers]

Just finished MM and therefore my run of the hero of time duology and Majora's Mask especially has left me with some interrogatives.

First of all, Termina "turning" into a log at the end. Is it another dimension Link entered? Or is it a figment of his imagination entirely?

Link, despite being mute in both games, seemed to me to be much more dissociated and in a dream-like state in Majora's Mask based on various reactions and whatnot to events and other stuff.

If everything was his imagination stemming from trauma, then the Fierce Deity might represent how he views his time as an adult in the other timeline: an unstoppable force capable of doing the impossible and bring everyone happiness, yet fleeting. The last missing piece of his fractured identity, symbolized by the transformation masks.

And what is the connection between Majora and the other kids? To me, they mirror the skull kid and the giants, but they also mirror Link and the sages.

Of course, I do know it's not Link's imagination, but there are still some questions I haven't figured out the answer for which are worth speculating about.

"Oh, Amygdala! Oh, Amygdala! Have mercy on the poor bastard!"

GENUINELY the worst fucking boss in the game. Not even the goddamned Orphan of Kos made me this fucking MAD. This defiled piece of shit I couldn't kill for DAYS, literal DAYS and then I first try it as a sleep deprived zombie with short of 3 hours of rest in my fucking system.
No mercy from me on that motherfucker. Platinum here I come.

Johnny and Gyro's bond

I just recently finished reading Steel Ball Run, because I was too hyped by the anime to be able to wait that long.
I can't really stress how much disappointed I am in myself for not starting it sooner.

Johnny and Gyro are my favorite characters in all of JJBA and their bond is the best I've seen in any media I've ever experienced, perhaps.

I hoped until the end that the Zeppeli curse would be broken, but after the moment in which they shared their deepest secrets to eachother...Well, I already knew.

I won't deny that I cried. Not specifically when Gyro was killed though. I cried during Valentine's attempt to strike a deal with Johnny. Seeing him cry all the way through it, question himself all over again, willing to sacrifice his reason for living once again just to have his friend and really find himself almost existentially conflicted about this choice broke my heart.
Gyro's spirit appearing was the cherry on top. One too many cherries.

And just like that, Johnny was no hero, but he got back to zero, just like he first wanted. No corpse, no friend, just his ability to walk, both physically and metaphorically.

I honestly can't stress enough how much I loved this manga in each and every one of its aspects. I found a brand new love for JJBA and I'm grateful for that.
