What is with the Reddit queerwashing of Appalachia, Southern culture, etc. etc.?
This is not a new notice - but what is with this?
Why does it get upvoted so much?
Geoffrey Asmus Poops His Pants Once a Year | Mad House Podcast | Episode #114
youtube.comWhat am I not “getting” about Tim Robinsons whole thing?
I’ve watched ITYSL, I’m a few episodes in to The Chair Company, I’ve seen Detroiters (my fave of the three), but the discourse around this man’s comedy makes it seem like there’s something deeper I’m not getting.
I don’t really love or hate any of his work to me. It’s all just kind of mid, it makes me chuckle, but not much there beyond that, And unless the chair company changes drastically after the first few episodes I’ve watched, it’s kind of just more of the same?
Who put cookies in his mouth? You’re not supposed to do that.
I was mowing the grass and about to come inside when I noticed my neighbor frustratingly fucking around with his mower like a putz. Yanking the cord 100 times, getting all frustrated, his wife standing there trying to get him to come inside, clearly annoyed at his behavior.
I'm a small time small-engine autist (started on Go-Peds in 1999, anyone remember those things?) so I came over to lend a hand. I could tell it was likely his carb jets were clogged, so I asked him for a couple of tools so I could get started. He didn't have them (shameful) so I went back to get mine and some carb cleaner.
I spent about 20 minutes taking apart, cleaning, and rebuilding this guys lawnmower while this guy made idle small talk (he kept talking about "maybe its finally time to upgrade to an electric mower!") while his wife sipped a white claw on the porch and watched.
Mower put back together. Starts on the second pull. Mfw.
