Straight pipe
Hi All.
Im thinking to do a straight pipe on my prado.
To remove the silencer box.
Is it worth it? And does it sound good or is too loud inside the car?

Found my dream land cruiser here in Cali. Couldn't pass it up.
It doesn’t smell like coolant, so are my injectors going bad?
There is white smoke coming out of the radiator is it just steam or is it a sign of something else just want to make sure 👍
Did an EGR delete on my 93 hilux surf today and both bolts were rounded off on the exhaust side. This was one of those jobs my mechanic started that I had to finish. 😵💫
At least I get to clean my intake!
Hey guys
Just replaced the fuel pump after a struggle w the gear. Couple questions:
1 - I have refitted all the gears under the front timing cover. Numbers all line up however when I put the crank balanced on the marks don’t line up what could be the issue
2- I need to put the engine at TDC Is it safe to assume that if the camshaft is allowing both valves to be closed number 1 is at tdc?
Thanks guys
Hey everyone,
I just bought this 1kz, for $11,000 (AUD), with 360,000kms on it.
Engine bay is pretty immaculaute with some of the recent work on the car including:
Brand new injectors, new glow plugs, fuel pump replaced, new fuel filter, new engine mounts, new radiator, new starter motor, new idler filter, timing belt tensioner.
I didn't find any leaks or major red flags. Just an older flimsy tray, and surface rust on the door was probably the biggest problem.
Drives really, shifts really well, brakes are good, 4x4 works. I'm excited to get this on the road and on some touring trips.
I was wondering what bits of advice would you provide, in regards to looking after it, maintaining it, mods to consider, just general feedback!
I'm pretty keen to have this car the next 5 years, Im keen to put a new tray on with a canvas canopy to go with it, and a 12-volt system to start with.
Have a nice day!
