Born in 2004 — too young for Millennials, too old for Gen Z?

I was born in 2004, and honestly, I sometimes feel like we’re stuck right between Millennials and Gen Z 😂

We’re technically Gen Z, but our childhood feels pretty different from the younger Gen Z kids. When we were in 3rd or 4th grade, we were literally sending songs via Bluetooth. My parents still had keypad phones, and getting a phone with Bluetooth felt like we had some next-level futuristic gadget 😂

I still remember how excited we’d get like, “Send me that song on Bluetooth!” No WhatsApp, no AirDrop, no Spotify — just Bluetooth, and then sitting there waiting for it to transfer 😭

But if I say this to someone born in like 2007–2010, they look at me like I’m talking about ancient history 💀

At the same time, I feel way more connected to people born around 1996–2003. Their childhood and teen experiences just feel way more similar to mine than younger Gen Z.

People born around 2004–2005 kind of went through this weird in-between phase — we saw technology slowly become normal, instead of being born straight into a world where smartphones, social media, and streaming were already everywhere.

Anyone else born around 2000–2004 feel this too? 😂

Dating success tips that will always work

Good people of Reddit, many of you all have a hard time at dating. I am here to help you because I care. If you wan to be successful finding the love if your life, do these proven ideas.

  1. Keep an open mind. Not everyone will fit into every box you want

  2. Looks matter but beauty fades over time. Focus on character and values.

  3. If you are a woman, ask your male family members to vet the guy. Guys can see thru another guy bs.

  4. If you are a man, ask a female family member to vet the woman. Women can see thru another women bs

  5. Slow burn over instant spark. First dates are not easy and people are nervous or they will give you false image of themselves. It takes time to know someone. 3-5 dates would be a good gauge to determine if you want to continue.

  6. Stop comparing relationships you see on social media. Those are a false reality.

  7. Keep your standards, requirements high but reasonable. More importantly, keep it consistent with each person you date. The person you lower your standards for, will more than likely use and disappoint you.

  8. No sex until you both are in a committed LTR relationship. It worked quite well for centuries,

  9. Ask people out of dates regardless if you are a woman or man. Stop it with the fairytale nonsense. Will you get rejected? Yes. Will you get some dates? Yes

  10. Single parents should focus on dating other single parents. You both understand the factors when being a parent.

  11. First date and all dates until you are officially in a relationship should be 50/50. No one is required to pay for your expenses if you are in the dating stages.

  12. Dates should be low cost (free ideally), fun, and getting to know person.

  13. Take advice from your friends with a grain of salt regarding the person you are dating. Some people are jealous of other's happiness.

  14. Dress appropriately for your dates.

  15. Enjoy your life and date who you want. You don't need validation from others.

Bonus:

A. Men, stop lying about your height

B. Ladies, stop lying about your age.

C. Have a professional photographer take your pictures if you are on the apps.

Ok, let's break out the popcorn and read the comments :)

Any 04’s graduating in 2027?

Kinda sucks to graduate a year later than everyone else but I was born in December so I guess it doesn’t matter😆.

We’re almost at the final stretch!

Would you guys associate our teen years more with the 2010s, 2020s, or both?

Personally I say both. We experience pre, during, and post Covid teen years.
