PSA: Remember Drop Item Warning

I started OSRS back in June last year, and for some reason I disabled the Drop item warning (Can't remember exactly why, but it was intrusive as hell - It might've been during Leagues or something, not sure)

Dharok bombing Maggot King, and accidentally shift-clicked the Inq mace, rather than regular click the mace..

So yeah, I've donated a Inq Mace to Maggot King..

Is it just me or has the social vibe around end game pvm gotten "exhausting"

I've been spending a lot of time around ToA and CoX lately and it honestly feels like you can't have a normal friendly conversation without wondering if you're being socially engineered. Someone asks you for a pot or something and acts super friendly to add you for a run. Obviously i'm not going to download sketchy plugins but I also don't spent all my time figuring out ways to manipulate and screw over people and who knows what they'll cook up. It sucks because you KNOW there are people out there willing to play the long con for months. Pretending to be your genuine friend just to eventually wait for you to slip up and f you over. I feel like it forces you to play with this cynical defensive mindset.

I was recently mining and chatted up with another player. Felt like we clicked. Same humor, vibe etc...but the second i invited them to my clan, they instantly went offline and deleted me. Looking back, i realized they probably thought that it was ME that was trying to scam THEM. since fake clan recruiting seems to be such a common phishing tactic. I'm not crying over a an "unrequited" friendship here but this is like the 3rd time this has happened and man it's just a bit depressing because friends really enhance this game.

I know scamming isn't new to runescape...i've played since 2005. But something about the new age scammers feels different. Idk...what do you think?

Settled's cinematics are on another level...

Second time I watch the finale. I got goosebumps...
He captured so well why I like this game, how heroic it feels sometimes, how exciting and immersive...

What a legend...

Edit: The cinematic itself was created by Lil Smokey's, so props to him, what a beast. I wasn't aware of his name, I knew it wasn't settled but I still give him credit because the concept and content is what I value the most

Finally had a chance to do BMR today. 10/10

If this is the direction for PvM difficulty they're going for with Raids 4, I am really looking forward to it.

Drakan was fun as hell. Hope to see some of his mechanics implemented elsewhere

My favorite spot in the entire game is the path behind Lumbridge castle

something about this place just brings me calm. it's peaceful and quiet. Also if i need to blow off some steam i just crawl down the ruins and start stabbing. I really just like this little section of the world. What's your favorite nondescript spot?

Precision

This was a piece I drew for Mod Rice, as a celebration of the incredible fight he designed for the final battle with Lowerniel Drakan in the Myreque storyline. A lot of love to Mod Ed too for a fine finale.

It was requested that there was one version without a face too! Hope everyone enjoyed playing The Blood Moon Rises!

I HARBOR MAGE TANK ON MY BODY!!!!111oneone

I began this grind in December of last year. I had to take a long break when college started back up in late January. Earlier this year I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree and started grinding the cape again.

In total I attempted the Inferno 64 times, 8 Zuk fights and I was finally victorious. I am proud to say that all of those attempts I used mage tank. This is the most fun and rewarding piece of solo content, maybe all content in the game. Anyone considering attempting it watch some yt videos and start sending runs. The feeling of getting that first cape is amazing.

My next goal is to get a completion without using mage tank, I can 1-tick alternate most of the time but I am not super consistent yet. I think doing it on task will make it easier using bowfa next time too instead of tbow.

Anyone roasting me in the comments must include a screenshot of their infernal cape lmao.

I know this might not be a popular opinion but the harm staff makes elemental magic very hard to balance around

Increasing attack speed by 1 is basically the biggest single stat dps boost you can get on any weapon in this game. Every additional magic dmg only increases the gap. Harm staff was released in a time when elemental magic was shit but now that elemental weaknesses are a real approach to dps in this game, I suspect it will be hard to balance non harm staves around the harm orb existing without introducing more elemental compatible staves with special effects like the twinflame staff.

But there is basically no way to make traditional staves like kodai, etc... balanced in a world with the harm staff existing. Maybe that's fine but I feel like it compresses the design space down a bunch and it feels a bit of a shame that the best traditional magic staff in the game will never have a place with elemental magic. But maybe it's place will forever just be the best barraging staff.

Mobile BMR done at 108

One of the hardest things I’ve ever done in gaming. About 100-150 attempts (I am trash) and I know people have done it in more impressive ways but holy shit was that rewarding. Keep pushing yourself, you may end up surprised.

Edit: I gained two levels while doing the boss and finished the quest at 109. I was not 108 on completion.

Maggot King World Record - 49.80

The RNG on this run was TRULY insane - beating Kirby's world record by 3.6 seconds. I'd had a couple sub/low 1 minute runs that didn't quite get the right RNG, then this happened as I was winding down for the night.

Vampyrium shows what agility shortcuts should be

Something I've not seen discussed following the release of vampyrium is just how great of a job the devs have done with agility shortcuts in the area. If you want to travel to venators from the medallion teleport for example, you can chain three agility shortcuts which cuts out a huge distance. Importantly, the shortcuts don't feel janky - your character's movement through them is super fluid and they really feel like a proper shortcut, as opposed to a lot of main game shortcuts that have awkward and slow animations.

Obviously a very small part of a huge update, but to me, it shows how agility could (and should) be integrated throughout the entire game.

Where does Jagex draw the line on bug abuse?

Crimson Kisten was bugged in PVP, so many streamers and youtubers knew that, but still took it out to the wildy and used it. Westham, 61m, nish and almost every youtuber. Where does Jagex draw the line? Rendi finds an exploit that gets him 50% extra slayer xp/hr and they reset him. All these youtubers exploit a bug that costs innocent players their items and they just let it slide. If they're going to enforce the rules, they need to enforce them with everyone, not just who they choose to enforce them with.
