Whn will Jagex cater to the mobile client once again?

We got the awesome mobile client update with promises on built in plugins and all, quite some time ago. We got a few plugins at the beginning but it’s been reeeeal quiet ever since. Quest helper among other things would just make a lot of sense. And maybe fixing the already released menu entry swapper? Just a thought.

Seriously tho, what gives? It’s an awesome and a very viable way of playing the game. For me it’s THE way of playing. RS3, while a dumpster fire in an of itself, is getting the built-in community plugin support to their client.

Xbox should detach game pass and xcloud from one another

Likely a hot take, we’ll see. Don’t really hang out here that much so idk.

Anyways, I think from a business perspective, having them under the same subscription/service is a terrible business decision, and likely one of the weighing reasons xcloud is now getting reduced in game time.

Having them as separate services would make it a lot more sustainable. GFN and Boosteroid (at least for now) are doing just fine because they offer the rented hardware to stream from and thats it. Microsoft does that AND offers the game pass catalog (that has crazy royalty fees for Microsoft to pay) pretty much with the same pricing as with GFN.

It’s just not sustainable and should be separated into different paid services.

Suggestions for grip cases for large hands (in the EU)

Ordering from the US, at least currently is hella expensive.

That being said, as you can see I have decent sized hands compared to the Switch 2. Playing handheld (which i do most of the time) actually starts hurting like hell after a short while during a session.

I’m looking for grips or grip cases that are actually ergonomic to hold with bigger hands as well. Me residing in the EU, the shipping fees from the US are rediculous at this moment at least.

I’ve heard of mentions of various grips and cases that might work but I don’t know if they all work for bigger hands. Dbrand looks solid and I like the quality from what I’ve seen jut have never ordered anything dbrand before. Price is not an issue really, as long as the value is there.

Anyway, tips and/or suggestions for people with similar conondrums.

Dynamic addition of episodes to jellyfin

I’d like to create/add a middleware system between seerr and sonarr to add episodes dynamically instead of adding what user requests feom seerr.

Issue is, i got close friends just filling the backlog with shows but not watching so they just sit there. And they just request all seasons at once. (I know i could ask them to stop but I want to create a seamless wxperience for them)

I’ve come to understand Maintainarr could achieve this. Can someone point me to guides doing exactly this? And is Maintainarr the community standart for an approach such as this or is there a better approach? I use Jellyfin not Plex

edit: so basically a ddynamic buffer for requested seasons. for example it would have the next 5 episodes based on your current episode, ready on the server and download more as you progress episodes. Just found a service called Episeer. would that work?

Using both Eweka and Newshosting?

Is it redundant to have both Eweka and Newshosting as my usenet providers? Can’t seem to find definite information as people say this and that. Granted those posts I found were at least a year old

I really hope they can pull off the reboot

I am very skeptical of course, because I think there is no way they can bring Depp back as the main character, and I’ve come to understand, it’s a new cast and story.

But it’s not about Depp. I’ve longed for more stories and discoveries in the world of PotC. It has so many other places to visit, secrets to uncover and uncharted territories.

It was a damn shame when I heard about Depp secerely clashing with Disney all these years ago, meaning the current story can’t really go on. It would never work with a new cast.

I’ve missed the world so much. I really really hope they somehow manage to pull it off and we won’t miss Depp and the gang too much.

Here’s hoping..

I have a weird 30s chrisis for competitive gaming

Turning 31 this month. Like I used to love competitive gaming in my teens and early 20s. I then took a few year hiatus from gaming entirely to go touch some grass (get a degree and get a career going). I’m now happy with my career, and happily married. I’ve been back to daily gaming in general, and and have gotten the itch to play competitively again.

But I’ve somehow convinced myself that I’m too washed to hold my own in ranked queues any longer. Like I’ve played Brawl Stars a lot and reached mythic 2 when it first was a thing, and wish to reach the highest rank some day but I feel like it ain’t gonna happen man.
I also used to be so skilled in Overwatch and CSGO back in the golden days.

I just keep telling myself that all the teens and early 20s in the opposing team will just clap me crazy style nowdays with their faster reaction time and stuff so why bother.

DBD has been the only PvP I’ve been playing and enjoying cuz it’s just mind games mainly and I feel like I’m good at the game in general. But it doesn’t really have a ranked ladder to climb so it’s more casual.

Can I somehow compensate the slower reaction time (don’t even know if it’s a thing or I’m just gashlighting myself) with something else?

And I wonder if there are any similar dumbasses like me gaslighting themselves into not playing competitively. And if you’ve managed to snap out of it.

RasPi 5 as a media server

Thinking of getting one for making a home media server. First of all is it good enough to run one? I’ve no intention of doing anything else with it.

Will the temps be ok or do I need to do something to combat them?

Is it ok to start with a 512gb microSD XC to kick things off and later expand to an external drive, or do I need an external drive as well?

Will be using Jellyfin and an *arr -stack with tailscale most likely.

Upscaling issue?

New to Moonlight. Just set it up on my BazziteOS and currently testing with my iPhone. This is how it looks.

I’m assuming the image is messes up because for whatever reason it is not picking up the in-game fsr upscaling setting. Is this common and is there a fix?

Looking for great video sources for learning the ins and outs of Bazzite

I could go ahead and read the official documentation ”cover to cover” but not really up for it. I’d like to find great sources for understanding all aspects of Bazzite and Linux for that matter. I’ve made a full pivot from windows and I want to feel as comfortable with Linux/Bazzite as I did with Windows.

Planning on starting an iron…

Haven’t really played since the Lumby/Varrock facelift. I did check out Havenhythe, did the quests and logged off.

So, does it make sense to start an iron man at this point, or would it be smart to wait for most if not all of the RoR changes to roll out?

I’d mainly be referencing optimal guides for the account and not sure if they’re up-to-date with all the big changes that have been made. Likely not.

[Spoiler: 4.0 -> 6.5] Has anyone else been doing this?

So, throughout the MSQ, I’ve been doing lasting changes to my character based on impactful events. For example the scar on the left was given to me by Zenos in the end of Stormblood. The fight was so epic that I wanted to remember it.

The second scar (under the face paint) was given to me by, well, also Zenos. The fight in Endwalker with him also felt very impactul and very personal so wanted to remember that as well. (I kinda regret it tho because the sheer limitation of scars and tattoos and face paint for a character, coulda given for another reason in 8.0, who knows)

The blue stars I added on my character because I wanted to remember Meteion. Her story was so tragic to me and I felt sorry for her and wanted to remember her.

Now, there’s not really much I can add to my character any longer as all the customization options are pretty much used out. But this has had a huge impact on my immersion with the story. Feels like I’ve actually gone through it all.

Hope we get a customization overhaul some day so I can continue to do this..

Edit: typos

While waiting for the newest main line games coming 2027, which mainline game should I play in the mean time? What are the best games between SS and now?

I’ve heard the newer Pokemon games have been kinda terrible in quality and all.

Idk if this makes sense but I feel like I’ve been a Nintendo fan my whole life and just… never really talk about it

Grew up with N64, gameboy color, advance, DS, DSi, 3DS, Wii, Switch and now Switch 2. kinda wild now that I list it out like that, I’ve basically been there the whole time without really realizing it.

In my teens I got more into PC / xbox / playstation (still play on PC a lot, even on my ROG Ally), but Nintendo just hits different for me. their games, the design, the whole philosophy… even when they miss, I respect that they try weird stuff instead of playing it safe. Even with the hardware.

The thing is I’ve almost always been playing alone. none of my friends are into Nintendo at all, they’re mostly PC guys and kinda just dismiss it, so I don’t really bring it up anymore. which sucks a bit because a lot of Nintendo games are clearly meant to be played with people.

Also kinda sucks that in a lot of gaming communities it feels almost trendy to hate on Nintendo. makes it even less fun to mention it without it turning into an argument.

That said, my wife is truly my best friend and she’ll play with me often, which I really appreciate.

Not sure what the point of this post is lol, just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.
