M79 Wooden Stocks - Looking

Does anyone have a lead on actual Wooden Stocks for the M79? I have an orginal kanarr with a beat up polymer stock and I'd like to freshen up the weapon. I've reached out to auto ordinance and others but no one has any leads. Appreciate any guidance.

Copper Thermite Rounds

Hello fellow 40MM’rs!

I saw a handful of older videos regarding Cooper thermite rounds. They seem to have the potential for a great visual rapport.

Does anyone have the load data or any more information on how these rounds are mixed / constructed? Particularly curious for ignition systems given thermites notorious ignition difficulties as well as additive mixtures for the same.

Are we using Cupric or Corpous Copper Powder? And what Micron size are we looking for?

Same question for aluminum powder, is a 30-40 micron size still within the realm of having a 209 primer set off the mixture? I don't want to get into flash powder territory by mixing up a nano batch of borderline explosive thermite. But don't want duds that can't be set off by a point impact setup either.

Any help / insight is appreciated! Stay safe out there.

Well I got to hold the holy grail of 40mm today!

Definitely a story behind this one and the m79. Custom built. They were awesome! China lake not for sale. M79 $10k (not mine). I was surprised at how smooth the action was. Was like butter. Not “ratchety” at all. The craftsmanship was beyond reproach! Dream gun for me!

Custom 14.5mm artillery simulator pushers

I picked up a handful of these, custom machined soft aluminum alloy. There is a threaded end cap that keeps the sim round in place but also let's it blow cleany out the back. Works for PD or airburst varieties. As long as you can find it, it is reusable. Takes a standard windscreen so you can add chalk. Pusher is lighter then a normal pusher, but with the added weight of the 14.5 sim, it should be close to a normal chalk wieght...I'll get weights soon.

For the price, I'll shoot 3d printed version, but they are super cool and i wanted a few.

Another weird m203 accessory for the collection

Clamp on Troy tri rail with some sort of flicky forward assist thing? I don’t have a m203 yet so I’m not really sure what the lever does.

It’s a lot beefier than the CAA tri rail I got a while ago. I’ve only seen the Troy rail 1 other time on a used m203 on GB.

Any ideas what the purpose of the lever is?

In search of: Video showing a smoke launched from 40mm.

Looking for a video of a Enola Gaye WP40 smoke launched from a 40mm Launcher.

I have printed the Bengles WP40 base and wanted to see if anyone had any experience with launching these smokes.

Original USGI M79s in stock

Armsunlimited pulled through with the M79s. USGI surplus, not clone/reproduction. The price they have them listed for isn’t out of line for USGI M79s but isn’t for the faint of heart. Link in the comments.

FL NFA lawyer Q&A

I’m moving to FL and had a few questions on what 40mm I can and cannot load in FL. I tried calling a few NFA gun shops and they could not advise or give me contact information for a NFA lawyer. Did a Google search for a FL NFA lawyer and was told they could not advise either. So who the F do I need to contact to get black and white council no grey area bull poop about what I can and cannot load due to FL state laws and if it matters if I register a few reloadable shells as DD Ammo. Thank you

40mm CTS bang clone

Got the color about right...good enough for something that's gonna get blown up anyway 😍

Loose change rounds with the closes looking nosecones I could find. the CTS shells have a really small vent hole, I end up nocking out the primer before the brass ...so I opened up the vent holes to 1/4"...but they should last pretty much forever launching loose change rounds, and now they are easy to reload.

Current state of collection...

In the "military" rounds box, the HE and the antenna deployment rounds are inert replicas by Grog. The flechette is a Randy Shivak. The m1006 and m1029s are reloads using factory components. I would love to find one of the day/night marking rounds to add to this box.

In the "law enforcement" box everything is factory...you may find a 37mm round only as a place holder for its 40mm big brother....it's my white whale currently.

Infill Density?

What infil density are you using for bird bangers? I used to do 100%, but they are rarely reusable. Should I just do 10% to save cost and speed up printing?

I found about 4 of them now and they look "fireable" but surely fuze mechanisms were stuck now.
