I'm doing a documentary project talking about both religion and queerness, the ins and outs, the parallels, the history, etc.

It's a group project, and today two events were gonna happen, it was gonna be a pride parade in a city close to where we live, and the most important religious procession of the year would happen.

So, naturally, I called grabs on photographing the pride parade. But it rained all morning and the parade got postponed for tomorrow UnU.

And since I was free, I decided to go photograph the other event, besides... I had the suspicion that nobody else was going, so better make sure we have at least SOMETHING from such an important event.

About the procession. It happens every year since over half a century. It consists on walking from Liniers (a neighborhood at the edge of Buenos Aires) to Luján, approximately 60km. And they walk the Lujan virgin which is the most important virgin in Argentina all the way (photos 5-6 are the photos of the main one, but each church had it's own, and some people had their own smaller statues).

All I knew about the procession beforehand was that it was intense. Like... I dunno you, but I can't just wake up and start walking 60km out of the blue. People were selling socks, band-aids, creams and basically foot preservation stuff. Hence why I shot the last photo. I knew I wanted a photo of someone's feet full of band-aids. In fact it was the last photo I took before deciding 30km is enough for my unprepared ass.

Perhaps next year I'll get more of a preparation before attempting the full procession! It was an interesting thing. Mainly because it's impressive how far we can go with just our feet.

Oh, another reason why I didn't do all the 60km was that... I still gotta photograph tomorrow's pride parade 👉🏻👈🏻.

Ps: I wasn't expecting to have such fun with the main virgin dudes, but they were blasting super fun music and dancing and having overall such a good time I forgot I was actually exhausted.

Finally got a camera and decided to capture some flowers and bugs :]
