Kinski sexually assaulted two of his female co-stars, Barbara De Rossi and Elvire Audray, during the shooting of scenes with them. While shooting a sex scene with De Rossi, he went beyond the call of duty by ripping her nightgown, fondling her crotch and squeezing her breasts very hard. When shooting a scene with Audray, instead of simulating grabbing her and biting her neck as instructed, he attacked her like a wild animal, beating her up for real, ripping off her clothes and undergarments and biting her vulva. Audray fled the scene in tears as Kinski screamed "Bitch!" at her and she understandably refused to film any more scenes with him.

Mario Caiano was hired to direct the film, but left the production on the first day because Kinski got into a violent argument with him and refused to work with him.

Amanda Sandrelli was originally cast as Maria Canins, but was fired when Kinski demanded that they recast the role with Anne Knecht. Kniecht was not an actress, but was merely visiting her boyfriend Yorgo Voyagis when Kinski saw her and demanded that she portray his love interest.

Second unit director Luigi Cozzi also claims that at one point, the entire crew abandoned the film in protest of Kinski and did not return until he apologised for his volatile behaviour.

I was looking for a nice 80s werewolf film I've not seen before and found this gem on Tubi. Written, directed and starring Paul Naschy as the werewolf, it delivers what I wanted. The plot involves an evil plot to resurrect Countess Elisabeth Bathory with her undead minions in order to plunge the world in darkness. It has vampires, a zombie, the aforementioned werewolf, gratuitous nudity & some Hammer horror vibes. Love this stuff

I thought for sure it would be on blu ray by now.
