This was a pirate cassette that I bought and fell in love with immediately.
I thought Alison Moyet was a guy too. 😅
That voice, I had never heard before in the world of Synthpop, ever since.
Unfortunately, this tape can’t be played at the moment because the ribbon snapped a long time ago. I could unscrew the case and put the ribbon back in place but too cumbersome to do so.
But I shall keep this because of the bliss-out feeling when I first heard this album !

After 40 years, which band should cover which song on The Smiths’ The Queen Is Dead album ?
The Smiths released the album in 1996.
A French magazine recreate the album in 1996.
After 40 years, in 2026 do you think this album should have another celebration ?

Had to buy this bootleg tape to listen on what the fuss was all about on London Calling by The Clash.
This bootleg tape opened myself up to lots of music that I’d even imagine.

In the middle of 1990’s it’s easy enough to create your own CD-R compilations of a band’s early singles/albums. These were distributed among friends and some did sell them on eBay too.
After a few years, Napster and Torrents came along and it’s even easier.
From that period, this is the only one I keep from My Bloody Valentine.
Any if you have the original records of these 4 records ?
