SBL Hassan Dossani videos

People often recommend Hassan for SBL citing his free lecture videos on YouTube but I’m confused which ones I should be watching. Could someone please let me know which videos or type of videos I should watch because I can’t really find videos of him practicing questions. Thanks!

I failed with 47 marks. Any advice?

It was my FFA exam I prepared really well I completed the entire Kaplan study text the BPP kit around 20%, all Study Hub questions important notes watched lectures I still failed The exam actually felt easy to me which makes it even more disappointing

I'm from Pakistan, and this failure has cost me around PKR 50,000 I'm seriously wondering if I should quit ACCA I really needed to pass this exam at any cost

Any advice?

Can i claim exemptions while studying bcom??

I am joining college in 3 days and i want to do my acca along my college degree. When i searched for my college degree in the exemption calculator it show guaranteed knowledge level exemptions and 4 applied level exemptions.

After seeing that exemptions are available for my college degree i registered as it told that i can claim my exemptions later too after registration by raising a case.

But now i saw some YouTubers mentioned that exemptions are only available to college grad and that i cant claim these exemptions until i finish my degree… is that really the case? Cant i claim my exemptions as i finish each paper one after the other? Can someone explain how these exemptions actually work?

I thought i could walk out of my college with a degree and 13/13 papers completed in acca. Is there no such possibility for such cases? How should my acca roadmap be structured?

The reason im looking for exemptions over writing the exams is that writing the exams cost more than the exemptions and im on a financial constraint. If i cannot do acca during my college, then what other skills should i focus on that i can do alongside my degree?

Questions regarding ACCA

Hello Everyone,

As the title says, I have few doubts regarding ACCA.

Long story short, I'm double master's in Accouting and Finance and I'm currently in Ireland working full time (not in accounts). I tried my very best but every company here requires minimum qualification which is ACCA.

So I'm planning to enroll soon for it. I checked for my exemption & it's showing me 4papers exempt. My questions are—

  1. If we apply for exemptions, do we call ourselves as partly qualified?

  2. People who are doing self study, any recommendations of sites or classes to refer?

  3. People who are working full time & studying for ACCA, if they can give me a glimpse of their schedule like how they are managing?

I know they are silly questions but if someone can be kind enough & help me out. Feel free to send me a text in private as well.

Thank you so much, I appreciate it. Cheers!!

Heads Up! Communication by SMS for exam results reseted to NO on the new portal

https://preview.redd.it/pxsbep92uzah1.png?width=1288&format=png&auto=webp&s=79976bfac7ad1032eaaad40f611b7a527b4e5283

Hi everyone!

Just a heads up that some people found out that the option to recieve the results by SMS has been reset to "No" with the new myACCA Portal.

You need to go to your account, click on on the top right corner where your name is - Contact Preferences and you will see that there. Mine was like that so I had to change it.

The deadline to opt in is 7th July I believe.

Cheers!

How doable is Acca for your average person?

Basically just what the title says, considering your experience with Acca, how hard is Acca for a person with no knowledge at all who starts from the 0?

Transtioning from AAA to APM

I am at 12/13, had 9 exemptions, cleared SBL, SBR and AFM with minimal study and in the first go.

But AAA has proven to be my arch nemesis. Two failed attempts(with a year in between).

I have a prospective job offer(through a refferal) , but its kinda tied to me becoming an affiliate.

The question is: that can one cover the syllabus and prep enough in 68 days, provided that they can give 8-10 hours per day for the next 30 days and 4 hours for the remaining duration.

I had good grades in uni in both of these courses "1.Cost and Management Accounting, 2.Accounting for decision making".

Please share your thoughts regarding thr timeline and my decision on shifting to APM. Anything

Can’t stop thinking about them. Suddenly imagining I misinterpreted every requirement. I know there’s nothing we can do about it now lol.

Sat for AAA and APM (hopefully) my last exams. Anyone else? How’re you feeling?

Be honest: would you still choose coaching if you started ACCA again?

I've seen two groups:

Group 1:

Self study is enough

Group 2:

Coaching saved me from multiple attempts

For those already pursuing ACCA:

If you could start over, would you still take coaching?

Why?

If I start ACCA now but finish after January 2027, which rules apply to me?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to start my ACCA studies this year, but realistically I may only complete all my exams after the beginning of 2027.

Would the ACCA rules, syllabus changes, or membership
requirements that come into effect in 2027 apply to me, or would I continue under the rules that were in place when I first registered?

I’m particularly interested in understanding whether any changes to exemptions, exam requirements, ethics modules, or practical experience requirements would affect existing students who are already partway through the qualification.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows how ACCA handles transitions between different rule changes?

Thanks in advance!
