Hii so I made this comment in response to someone but I guess it's hidden in the comments of that post so I thought I might just share it as a post dedicated to it so that others more easily find it?

This is what I've been doing over the years and I have saved millions in bells :P

"Honestly I’ve had this game about 20 years. I have a mansion and lots of rare items, so my catalog is full of things meaning I can just sell a lot of stuff cause I’ve already had it in the past. I use my savings account too and consistently deposit. Just recently I withdrew the bells to buy the crown for 1,000,000 bells at the Able Sisters 🙈🙈
And because I’ve had it so long, I’ve completed the fossil exhibition so I can just sell all 3 fossils I find every day. Keep at it!! You’ll do great!

Here’s some tips for how I regularly make most of my money:

Selling “foreign” fruit at 500 bells each! I can accumulate 75-110,000 bells every 3 days.
if I want extra -it’s just so time consuming- I sell the 100 bell fruit for 1,500 bells per full pocket sale.

Every day you can shake the trees to get the 100 bells bags and hidden items for selling.

You can also catch the bees that fall out the trees and chase you for 4,500 bells - I watched a YouTube video. They’re also a different bug from the honeybee so eventually you’ll want to catch if you want to complete the bugs.

Dig up fossils every day! Sell them. I get a good 7-25 thousand bells every day if I dig up all 3 fossils.

I buy white turnips and sell them at a profit - can be risky but 10 bells profit each is better than the bells you had before. I recently made just over 300,000 bells in profit. Just don’t change your time or dates cause I think it messes with TN’s turnip prices. Check 8-11:59am and 12-11pm for the two daily selling prices.

Catch and sell bus and fish! You can make tens of thousands and unlike the foreign fruit, they constantly respawn

I constantly check Booker’s Lost and Found and the Recycling Bin (Town Hall) for items to sell :D

I use my savings account!! Located at the post office inside the town hall. Just keep depositing my money at the end of every game play so that the interest increases…

A good trick that I used to use (but would not need to now) was putting all my money into the savings account (i can’t remember how much I needed deposited, sorry. But maybe research online for an answer) and then (if you’re willing to have a town full of weeds and potentially lose favourite villagers etc) set the time to a few years into the future. Probably at least 10 years?? I can’t remember how many years I would do but it needs to be years. Start the game and you’ll have a letter from the town hall saying you made 99,000 bells in interest. Pretty sure you can do this infinitely you just need to keep the money in your bank account!
Do it with each your character’s bank account at the same time :)
Do the money somewhere and pick someone to be the main money inherenter/accumulator to up the overall value XD

Walk about and talk to villagers, they’ll often randomly give you things.

Walk around with items but NOT full pockets or full letters. If you always have some space, villagers will give you items, ask to swap or buy something that’s in your pockets, or ask you to complete a task for them (usually deliver a present or letter to another villager or lesser often they’ll hand you something to put in the recycling bin - just go sell it) once you’ve completed the task, go back to them to say you’ve delivered it and they’ll give you a present or about 520 bells as a thank you.

Lest effective but still an option: writing letters to villagers with gifts can result in gifts sent back to you but it’s risky and your OG gift might sell for more. Plus, they might not send you one back at all if they don’t like your letter or gift 🤣 you can improve responses anyway by researching their personality type, favourite and least favourite styles and hobbies.

I learnt this when I was a kid and I had forgotten about it, but if you go to the Town Hall, talk to Pelly or Phyllis, and save letters, the game is automatically saved.

This DOES NOT prevent Resetti from scolding you if you turn your console off directly. It's just used as a "quick" save option if you're afraid of losing your progress, for example if the game crashes or you run out of battery. My game crashed a lot when I was a kid so I lost my progress many times. Saving and exiting all the time was exhausting, so when I learnt this "hack" it saved my life.

If you have no letters to save, just pick one and put it back, and it'll save it.

Was this a well known fact? Or am I explaining the obvious?

I am playing wild world on an emulator/ browser on iPhone called gamesfrog. ive been kind of bored recently and wondering if friend codes would work on emulators or not?

So, i have been playing this game, like, everyday, it's so catchy, so lovely, I love my island, my villagers, everything feels great, but recently, I kinda started playing less and less time.

My normal runs on this games are based on: Wake Up -> Check mailbox -> buy something at Nook's (medicine, if a villager is sick) -> failing at fishing -> catching the same 3 bugs -> talking to Octavian -> talking to other villagers -> talking to Octavian -> looking at everything at Able's sisters without buying anything -> Talking to Octavian -> Writting any letter -> Talking to Octavian -> talking to villagers again-> getting a bad answer from Octavian for talking too much with him

And It's really getting old, I have nothing to do, nothing, I have knowledge of this franchise improving everything you can do, going from just hanging around to a cozy decorator, but i know this game is beloved for having its own charm, what else I can do?

Does the golden shovel ever break even if you use it to hit rocks?
