Do You Think They Should Have Shown Aerion Die?

I half expected to see a final scene, perhaps post credits, where Aerion drinks the wildfire and kills himself. I think it would be a poetic scene, but could perhaps undermine the finale.
What do you think?

Daeron is a Grantaire type of drunkard

If yk Les Mis yk(? Also this is concluded based on the TV show, so a large part of this impression could be from the writer, the director, the actor, and many others who has a say of how he's portraited on screen.

And ik ik, there's much difference between the two characters. Prince vs peasant, character serves different purpose in story, and the philosophy GRRM conducts in his writing couldn't be more different than Victor Hugo. Or if you want to be pedantic - he's way better looking than R and R knows way more sh*t than him.

But the depressed useless drunkard who is sarcastic and bitter, wallows in escapism and nihilism bc he has seen things and foreseen things, and knows his own uselessness too well to actually make a change (which is the vicious cycle of depression), but not exactly a bad person, only one that's self-destructive, that still cares about the people around him when he CAN. Lol I call this exact model of character design "the Grantaire type of drunkard".

And I love this type of character. They often have the least growth through out the story but has the potential of providing the most unexpected but deep philosophy or the struck-to-the-soul moment to the audience. I hope for some more appearance of the character, really, even though… I sense he's not exactly a big part of the story bc I noticed a kind of Machiavellianism from GRRM and he will more likely to use a small character like this for what he's worth instead of what he symbolizes, ie let him be a part of the rippling effect, mess things up then apologize by playing possum and rig his part of the match. LOL.

But hey, it's already refreshing to see a masochist among the oh-so-many sadist characters in the series LOL.

Dunks fixation on Valarr in “The Hedge knight”

The way he mentions/thinks of Valarr on more occasions than most characters is honestly so cute. Like the way he thinks about him before he even met him, the way he only has eyes for Valarr (direct quote) during the tilts is so real.

I haven’t seen anybody talk about this and I need to find my people.

I'd like to pitch a "double finale".

Let's jump to it.

Assuming the show continues successfully then I'd imagine they'd wrap it up in a similar tone as the rest of the series. Light hearted, fun, a nice little send off to the story would work great.

But we know Dunk and Egg's tale doesn't end there. Their story leads to Summerhall and don't we want to see that? Dunk and Egg in the future, the extended Targ family being there, plus seeing an event that GRRM still hasn't given us the true details for.

I'm suggesting they finish the proper main story and make the series finale end in a true dark and disturbing Game of Thrones way.

A tv example of this would be Justlice League Unlimited. S4 (or 2 of Unlimited) ends led with the heroes saving the world and all..and the finale jumps into the far future and concludes the Batman (Beyond) storyline. Both episodes were amazing and I love that it ended in a completely unique way. So copy that!

Basically I want to see Summerhall play out and this would be the ideal moment and time to make it a reality.
