The love people have for their senior dogs is honestly beautiful ❤️

There’s something really special about the bond with our dogs. As dog owners, we know that this love just grows with each day.

You stay patient when they slow down. You celebrate the good days.
You notice the tiny changes nobody else would catch. You learn their medications, routines, favorite sleeping spots, and all the little signs that say “something isn’t right.”

That’s a big part of why I built the free Fido’s Bark app. I kept seeing pet owners trying so hard to stay on top of medications, weight changes, symptoms, vet visits, reminders, and daily notes — especially with older dogs where little changes can mean a lot.

The app allows pet owners to keep everything together in one place.

No ads. Free to use. Just something made with a lot of care for people doing their best for the dogs they love ❤️ Here is the link to the free app if you are interested:

Help!!

I can’t get a good enough picture, but my bfs dogs eyeball suddenly is facing another direction and very red. She can barely even open her eye, I’m extremely concerned. His family refuse to take her to the vet right now, but I’m thinking this is serious. Anyone know what this is??

Need cat food/supplies for my colony cats 🐾

Hi! I manage a 5-cat TNR colony and am looking for a little help keeping them fed and cared for. I have an Amazon wishlist set up with cat food, DE to keep ants away from the feeder, and one additional item — a security camera bundle to monitor the feeding station and keep an eye on the cats. Just wanted to be upfront about that! Every little bit helps. Thank you so much! 🐾🐈‍⬛♥️ https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1G15G0X3NR1R?ref\_=list\_d\_wl\_ys\_list\_1

4yr old female Rottweiler Aspiration Pneumonia advice

Species: dog, Rottweiler
Age: 4yrs (2nd March 2022)
Sex/neutered: F/Yes
Weight: 45kg

Location: Perth, Western Australia

Preface: My dog HAS already been in the vet, received diagnosis & some treatment.

History: Diagnosed with Aspiration Pneumonia at emergency vet Monday 18/05, after cough developed & progressed from Sunday 17/05 night. By 8am Monday, wet hacking cough, drooling, holding head to sky for airway, lethargic, coughing up phlegm/bile. After vitals, bloodwork (can post in comments if requested), exam of airway & chest xray - inflammation of throat & Aspiration Pneumonia. No oxygen support needed as her levels have maintained really well, just IV antibiotics for a few hours. Picked her up after 9 hours there & lengthy discussion with vet about whether to hospitalise overnight. No longer held her head up, has an appetite, more herself, breathing good. Taught us how to coupage & count her respiratory rate. I know we aren’t out of the woods yet but we are watching her 24/7, prepared to rush her back if needed.

Currently: 10:20am Tuesday 19/05
Symptoms: respiratory rate sitting about 40 when resting, wet cough every so often, lethargic (still from sedation/meds/exhaustion), struggling to bring up any phlegm but minimal amounts
Medication: Amoxyclav (2 tablets 2 times a day) & Gabapentin every 8-12 hours for sedation/pain relief, coupage for congestion

Basically I just want to know if anyone can recommend anything else we can be doing to support her recovery? She’s still so out of it, I know we are in for a long recovery but these next few days are gonna be crucial. Will a humidifier help? What signs/symptoms should i be most on the lookout for? We are prepared to take her back to the vet like I said but also have to be thoughtful of the fact we just spent $2300AUD on her, and it would be another couple thousand to take her back. What can I do in the future to help stop this happening again? What can I get her usually vet to exam/test for to see if we can determine how this occurred?

I can’t have kids, she’s my literal child & my dads best friend, I hope someone else whose been through this can give me some hope I won’t lose my baby ☹️😭❤️

Photo of her just because, & the footage of her coughing is a hard watch. I’ll link in comments if anyone asks.

My cat is acting weird, please help

He’s never done this before.. as of right now he is napping by our window and seems normal but I’m still very concerned.
For reference he is around 5 years old and neutered, as far as we know he doesn’t have any history of medical issues.
I’m more than happy to take him to the vet if that is what people are suggesting on here, I just don’t want to be overthinking it.

what kind of allergy

so just for some context, this is my boyfriends cat. he has multiple outdoor cats bc he lives pretty far out but thats not what i’m here to talk about. his kitty, silkie, is about 2 years now (been outside pretty much the whole time) and has developed some scabs/sores. my first thought is fleas (which i know she has) but ive only ever really seen flea allergies on dogs. the scabs are really bad around her ears, and she has some smaller spots across her body. i know she must be allergic to something out there, any suggestions on what it is?

p.s. we’re american, in the south

After rescuing 10+ cats, I finally need help for one with kidney issues

Hi everyone,

Over time I’ve rescued and given a home to more than 10 cats, and I also regularly feed 7–8 street cats in my area. Recently one of them, Rio, started having kidney-related issues. His creatinine levels were high and the vet advised a renal diet for him. Last time i tried to raise some funds in this subreddit that time failed hope this at least get some
He is thankfully eating the renal food properly, but it has become very difficult for me to continue financially. One renal can near my house costs around ₹220 and even after adding water it only lasts around two feedings maximum. The last packet/can I bought has already finished.
I checked for bigger packs too — a 2kg renal food pack costs around ₹2200 in my local store. The shop owner already knows I feed stray cats and has given me the maximum discount he possibly could.
I’ve added a wishlist and my QR code above. Even a very small amount can genuinely help in buying Rio’s next meal or renal food pack 🙏

1 Minute reading time can save 2 lifes

EDIT DISCLAIMER: To clarify some misunderstandings in the comments: Please keep in mind that we are private individuals located in Germany, not the US. The situation here is vastly different. Our exotic pet market is extremely small, specialized reptile rescues are incredibly rare and currently massively overcrowded, and finding a specialized exotic vet is highly difficult. On top of that, surrendering an animal to a shelter in Germany isn't free—it requires paying a mandatory surrender fee per animal. The previous owners would never have paid that, which means these snakes would likely have been dumped or left to die. We stepped in because turning them over to a shelter simply wasn't a viable option here. There was literally no one else with the capacity to take them in. We are just doing our best to save their lives. Lastly, please know that absolutely no one is forced to donate. Our main goal here is to raise awareness for these animals and this kind of terrible neglect. If anyone still chooses to support us, even if it's just by leaving some kind words of encouragement, that is already more than we ever expected and deeply appreciated.

Hello everyone,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a big request. Recently, I drove for many hours to rescue two Boa constrictors – Bonnie and Clyde – from an obvious emergency situation. The low asking price already gave me a feeling that the animals urgently needed to go. But what awaited me at the handover literally pulled the rug out from under me.

The two beautiful snakes were handed over to me in a courtyard straight out of a car trunk – crammed together in a single, tiny 14-liter plastic box. No terrarium, no proper ventilation, sitting on completely unsuitable small animal bedding. The only "accessories" provided were a pair of thick oven mitts, obviously out of pure fear of the animals. Bonnie and Clyde are between 1.50 and 1.80 meters (approx. 5 to 6 feet) long. It breaks my heart to imagine how they had to endure in that small box.

The signs of this months- or even years-long neglect are unfortunately impossible to ignore. Both animals are severely dehydrated, are struggling with shedding issues, and are emaciated down to the bone. Clyde (born in 2017) weighs a fragile 1,300 grams, and Bonnie (born in 2022) weighs a terrifying 800 grams – for Boas (not dwarf boas) of this age, this is an absolutely shocking state. Bonnie also bears wounds from rodent bites on her back, a silent testament to the fact that she was locked up with live rats, uncontrolled and defenseless.

Why we need your help:

I immediately took them in, put them in sterile quarantine enclosures, and am treating their wounds. Despite his weakness, Clyde is showing an incredible will to live.

But our biggest concern right now is Bonnie. She has a massive, unnatural lump in her abdomen. It could be a dangerous fecal impaction caused by dehydration and swallowed wood shavings, clumped unfertilized eggs blocking her from the inside, or an internal injury. This needs to be examined immediately by a specialized reptile veterinarian.

The upcoming costs for the extensive diagnostics (X-ray/ultrasound), medication, special food for a slow refeeding process, and a very likely life-saving surgery for Bonnie unfortunately exceed my reserves for such emergencies.

I regularly rescue animals and do everything in my power to give them the species-appropriate life they never had. Bonnie and Clyde fought for so incredibly long in their tiny plastic box not to give up. Please help me ensure that this fight doesn't fail now because of vet bills.

Every euro/dollar, every share of this campaign, and every good thought helps these two noodles on their long road to recovery. 100% of the collected money will go towards the veterinary care and the rehabilitation of the two.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time and your support!

Help Lacy continue to get the care she needs ❤️

Lacy is my beloved dog, and she truly means the world to me. She’s always been by my side, bringing joy and comfort to my life every single day. Recently, I noticed that Lacy wasn’t feeling so good—she seemed tired and not her usual playful self. Wanting to make sure she was okay, I took her in for a check-up at the vet to help figure out what was going on and make sure she gets the care she needs.

The costs for these tests and the vet visit have added up quickly, and I want to make sure Lacy gets all the follow-up care she might need to get back to her happy, healthy self. I’m reaching out for help to cover her vet bill and any additional visits or treatments that may come up as she recovers. Lacy is such a special part of my life, and I want to do everything I can to help her feel better

Thank you so much for any support you can give to help Lacy and me during this time. Your kindness means everything to us, and every little bit helps. Even sharing our story would mean a lot. We’re so grateful for any help you can offer. I’m alone and work two jobs even with my life savings this hit me harder than I thought it would.

River’s Post-Surgery Update & Recovery 🐾🤍

Good news: River successfully made it through his surgery yesterday morning! He is still confined at Petelier so the vets can closely monitor him while the operation is fresh. Hopefully, his recovery goes smoothly and nothing goes wrong. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared, and offered prayers for River. We wouldn't have made it to this stage without you.
Because we are facing a whole new set of expenses for his surgery and healing, I am still humbly accepting donations for River. According to the vet, he needs a minimum confinement of one week, but this could still possibly extend depending on his recovery speed. We can only bring him home once he is completely cleared. Our biggest challenge right now is that we need to settle his entire medical bill on the exact day he is discharged.
I have already exhausted all of my savings on his previous bills. Honestly, I feel so much shame to keep asking for help, but I am doing this entirely for River. He is the only one I have left in my life, and I don't ever want to reach a point where I regret not doing everything I could while he was still fighting—I will do whatever it takes just not to lose him. If you need any updates, photos, videos for proof of his condition, or a breakdown of the total funds collected so far, please feel free to DM me. You may also contact his vet clinic directly for your peace of mind.
Even just a small amount, or simply sharing and boosting this post alongside your continuous prayers for his healing, would already mean more than I can express. Thank you so much for helping me give River a fighting chance to come home. 🙏🐾

Our dog needs help

I really need advice because I don’t know what to do anymore.

My brother’s dog has been living in what I feel is a really bad situation for months. She’s a very calm and sweet dog, but she spends most of her time isolated in the basement area because my brother is almost never home. If I don’t feed her or buy her food myself, sometimes she barely eats.

Before, she used to stay locked in a crate for long periods and would end up peeing/pooping in it because she wasn’t taken out enough. When she chewed things or made a mess, my brother would hit her, sometimes hard enough to hurt her.

She barely gets walked or proper attention, always begs my brother to taker her out and I honestly feel terrible for her because despite everything, she’s still very gentle and loving.

I thought about trying to rehome her somehow, but I don’t want to do anything illegal or make the situation worse. I just want her to be safe and cared for.

Does anyone have advice on what I should do?

Gathering funds for operation - question

Hi, so my 21 years old cat, who is otherwise in great health, has trouble with one hind leg. It's very stiff and she bends it a lot and has trouble using her adapted litterbox (lowered entrance).

The doctors who treated her with Solensia (that I can provide transactions for and they are around 800USD in total) before suspect torn or damaged tendon as her toes bend first while walking and then she falls on the side of the damaged leg.

I'm working but my pay is from a part time remote job so it allows me to keep an eye on her if she falls so she won't lay on the floor for half a day.

But in this case, I can't pay for her operation and would need around 1k USD.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to reach anyone here with this as a lot of us are struggling but it's not fair to her as otherwise she's in a great health and I'm trying to gather funds on my own but it's always too little and too far away in time for her...

I can offer pet portraits in return (hand drawn, so it can be sent to you via post office or as a high quality scan).

Samples of my drawings can be found on https://www.facebook.com/SilverenePL/photos.

I will have yet to gather the bill for the operation as it can be done only after it's completed but I just need to know if this method is acceptable after setting up a crowdfunding site, to offer drawings in exchange of donations.

Hello everyone ❤️ We would like to ask for help for our little guinea pig, Borzi.

🐹 Help Borzi Eat Again ❤️ Guinea Pig

Borzi is a 4-and-a-half-year-old guinea pig who has been part of our family since he was just a baby. He was a birthday gift for our daughter’s 9th birthday, and quickly became one of the most loved little members of our home.

He is a shy little boy who never really liked being petted, but the moment you pick him up, he becomes incredibly cuddly and affectionate. He shows love by licking our hands. Before he became sick, Borzi was a happy little guinea pig who loved fresh grass and hay more than anything. He used to “popcorn” with excitement whenever he heard the sound of the grass bag.

We have a favorite photo of him from when he was still healthy — stretched out on his belly, little legs kicked out behind him, completely relaxed with his head resting peacefully. It showed how safe, comfortable, and happy he felt. We haven’t seen him rest like that in a very long time, and we hope with all our hearts that one day we will again.

Everything started in September 2024, when we noticed a growing swelling under his jaw and he slowly stopped eating properly. It turned out to be an abscess. He underwent his first surgery in October 2024, but sadly the abscess returned in the same area in 2025, leading to another surgery. His vets believe the recurring infections are most likely connected to his teeth.

After the surgeries, we had to separate him from his little guinea pig friend, Bubi, who he used to live closely with. They now live in a two-level cage near each other, but on separate levels because Borzi requires special care and monitoring.

Since 2025, Borzi has needed multiple dental procedures and anesthesia because of abnormal tooth growth. The repeated treatments have been very hard on his tiny body, and in April this year blood tests revealed that he is also struggling with kidney problems.

For almost two months now, Borzi has been unable to eat on his own. We hand-feed him liquid food 5-6 times every day just to keep his weight stable. At his worst, he dropped to only 700 grams, but with constant feeding and care we managed to bring him back to 830 grams.

He still tries to eat sometimes. Occasionally he nibbles a little lettuce or attempts to chew hay and pellets, but he simply cannot manage it anymore.

The hardest part for us is seeing how much he has changed. He no longer popcorns happily when he hears the grass bag. Most of the time he quietly hides in the corner or rests silently in his little hammock. Fresh grass used to be his greatest joy.

Recently, another swelling appeared near his jaw again, which likely means another infection or dental problem. We know Borzi’s condition is complicated and that his kidneys also need treatment, but we want to give him the chance to eat independently again, live without pain, and hopefully have peaceful, happy days ahead of him.

We hope we can take him to the dental surgery he needs and also provide the kidney treatments recommended by his vets. Sadly, the kidney disease has made everyday life much harder for him as well.

Over the past months, Borzi’s surgeries, treatments, checkups, and special care have become a much heavier financial burden than we ever expected. We have done everything we could to cover his medical expenses on our own, but unfortunately several unexpected family expenses came up during this time as well. Because of this, we have now reached the point where we need help to continue Borzi’s care.

We are hoping to raise 300,000 HUF (approximately €850) for Borzi’s future treatments, examinations, and the kidney therapy he needs.

Every donation, share, and kind message means the world to us and to Borzi. ❤️

We just want Borzi to be able to eat without pain again and hopefully have peaceful, happy days ahead of him.

We will continue to share updates about Borzi’s condition and his treatments along the way.

If Borzi ultimately does not need the full amount raised, the remaining donations will be given to the Hungarian Guinea Pig Rescue Association to help other guinea pigs in need.

Even one share helps us a lot. ❤️

The second picture among the photos also contains a QR code, by scanning which you can directly support Borzi's further treatment and care or by using the link below.

Pls pls help my River 🙏💔Emergency surgery is now River's only chance—I'm doing everything I can not to lose him.

I am reaching out to everyone—to those who have been following River’s journey and to those who are meeting him for the first time. As many of you know, River has been fighting since May 1 due to a severe blockage and an enlarged bladder. After days of intensive flushing and 24/7 care, we were so hopeful when his May 6 ultrasound showed he was clear of sediments and his urine finally became clear of blood by May 9. Since he was peeing on his own from May 7 to 12, I made the difficult decision to bring him home to manage his care and try to stop the mounting confinement fees, even though he still had some bloody, watery stools.
However, everything changed this morning, May 13. River began peeing very small amounts with visible blood multiple times, and it became clear that his condition was not improving. The vet has told us that surgery is now the only way to stop this cycle and save his life. I had to decide on the spot, and I agreed because I cannot let him suffer and I simply cannot lose him. River is the only one I have left in my life, and it is so hard for me to give up on him, even as my financial situation gets harder to manage. I have already covered River's last remaining running bill using my very last savings, and now that we are facing a whole new set of expenses for his surgery, I am truly in need of help once again.
I want you to know that I’ve tried to look for cheaper options that people suggested, but we ended up staying with Petelier. They are the most affordable clinic near us, and we have already built a level of trust with them. The other lower-cost clinics are unfortunately too far from our house for me to safely transport him. I am attaching the new running bill for his surgery to this post, and I am humbly knocking on your hearts.
Honestly, it hurts my pride to do this and I feel so much shame, but I’m doing it for my River. I don’t want to reach a point where I regret not doing everything I could while he is still fighting. I am just trying not to lose him. For anyone who needs more proof of River’s current status or condition, I am more than willing to show him to you through photos or videos. He is so important to me, and I never wanted any of this to happen to him. Even just one small help, any amount, or even just sharing/boosting this post and offering prayers would already mean a lot more than I can express.
Donation Channels:

Please DM me if you are having problems with the GCash or PayPal QR Codes or need any other details. Please send me an update as well after you transfer so I can list the funds for River correctly. Thank you again for your generosity and for helping me give River a fighting chance. 🐾🤍

recused kitten, i need advice/help

this morning i found a kitten on the road that sadly almost got ran over. i took it home with me and made sure to keep it warm. i bought kmr and a bottle, my sister offered to get a litter box and sand, toys, snacks, and food, but based on the research i did, it might be too young to eat that for now. i found it around 7am ish and its now 9pm, and hasnt peed or anything, then i did some research and found out you have to simulate them if theyre really that young, and so i tried to twice but nothing happened. im getting worried and i cant afford to take him to a vet. im searching up my local no kill shelters because they mostly likely be free or low fee, but still, can i please get some help???

Please help save Stormy’s life

Help save my dogs life

Monday, my dog Stormy swallowed a whole bone for some reason and now he’s at the vet fighting for his life
They need to operate him and I honestly can’t afford as I lost my job last year due to the company closing and I’ve been searching and Stormy has been my rock through this hard times. I’ve had him for two years and I can’t imagine being without him
I’m currently back in Kenya at my parents trying to find a new job in Canada again or USA.
I have no issue keeping in touch with whoever is kind enough to help and give updates.
His surgery and after care will cost around $600 and I honestly can’t afford that now
I’ve taken scan of the current quote
The vets are still waiting for the deposit for the quote but keeping him comfortable
Please help if you can as it’s hard in Kenya or Africa in general for people to understand how much pets can mean to someone
I’m doing my best to get donations too from other sources
Who ever is willing please donate to this link :

Please help me raise funds for mochi's illness

Hey everyone, I really need some help for my 1.5-year-old fur baby, Mochi. About two weeks ago, he started sleeping all the time and just seemed super weak, but since the heat index here in the Philippines has been so crazy high, we honestly thought he was just exhausted from the weather. But after a week of him not getting any better, we finally rushed him to the vet. Money was really tight, so we couldn't afford a CBC, blood chem, or a blood parasite test right away, and the vet just gave him antibiotic injections which cost us ₱1,200.

Then, on Wednesday morning when he suddenly started having frequent, short seizures. We got so anxious and desperate that we had to borrow money from my tito just to get him back to the clinic. The vet finally did the CBC and blood parasite tests, and Mochi is positive for canine ehrlichiosis and blood parasites. The whole visit and the initial meds cost us ₱4,160. It's been an absolute nightmare because his seizures got even worse—he had 5 episodes in just one day—so we called the vet again and had to buy levetiracetam for another ₱650. We're already ₱6,010 in debt, he did his Blood chem today and fluid therapy + meds for ₱2,870 and it showed that he has no illness but he has a virus called canine distemper, although it's not curable i want to believe in mochi but we're in a very tight situation because of the debt and where we're going to get money for his current prescription.

I am reaching out to see if anyone might be able to help support mochi's next vet appointment, medical tests, or prescriptions. Any amount makes a hugee difference for us right now. Thank you all so much for reading and keeping mochi in your prayers.❤️

Donations desperately needed for severely neglected heartworm positive young doggy who needs life saving treatment

Meet Sissy! She is a young, heartworm positive 35 lb border collie/lab mix dog who is estimated to be 1-1.5 yrs old.

Despite being severely neglected and malnourished she trusted me enough to let me help her. She was eating trash and plastic from nearby dumpster. She was injured and in heat but still very friendly and loving. I contacted local rescues and shelters but they unfortunately did not have room or resources to offer assistance so l decided to take her home.

My initial plan was to keep her safe with the purpose of eventually finding her placement so that she could be fully vetted. In the meantime I have taken her to check ups, started her on preventives, vaccines, etc.

Her bloodwork came back heartworm positive and unfortunately I have already spent everything I can getting her stabilized and cared for but the real costs are just beginning and I'm overwhelmed with getting her the care that she desperately needs to survive.

The moderators have approved me to share her GoFundMe. Donations will go directly toward her treatment, vet visits and medications.

GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/41eba3f26

If anyone is able to help, share or suggest additional resources I might not know about I would be incredibly grateful. Even just upvoting or interacting with this post could help save her life.

I'll continue posting updates on her progress so everyone who has helped can see how she's doing. I've included documentation from her vet for full transparency.

Thank you all ❤️🐾
