Shipped my first iOS app in a few weeks — a daily geo-guessing puzzle game [ClueMap]

I built ClueMap ( https://apple.co/4u6WGVF ) using React Native + Expo, with AI as my co-pilot for basically everything.

The concept: one mystery location per day, 5 progressive text clues + a photo that slowly unblurs. Guess from 4 options. Fewer clues = more points (max 500). Think Wordle meets GeoGuessr.

What I learned shipping v1.0:

  • EAS cloud builds won't receive API keys from gitignored files — had to migrate to EAS environment secrets
  • App Store Connect draft management is unintuitive (you have to cancel a draft to swap builds)
  • Users will find edge cases in your streak logic you never imagined

Shipped v1.1 six days after launch with push notifications, streak fixes, and a "review clues" panel on the results screen — all from user feedback.

17 downloads in the first few days. Small, but real people playing every day.

App Store: https://apple.co/4u6WGVF

Would love feedback from fellow builders — what would you do differently

AP HUG EXAM

Anyone who has taken the AP hug exam in Tennessee knows what main units were on the exam and FRQs??

I’m taking the test on Monday and would like to know any units I need to study heavily.

Self-studying APHUG 1 week before the exam **late testing

Hi! I am late-testing for the APHUG exam as I signed up for it as a self-study. I just finished my AP Calc BC summative this morning and am starting the APHUG self-study.

For context, I have not done anything regarding this AP but I do know some basic geo concepts. Is there anywhere I can find practice questions that are very similar to the types of questions that show up on the exam? I

tried looking at AP Classroom but I couldn't find them, and since I registered for this exam at another school, I can't really ask them to release the questions. But maybe I'm also not looking at the right places. Please help!!

How I got a 5 on aphg (release 300 cockroaches in the test center)

I have a portable Mr Sinn in my brain, so I got a picture of him printed, and I taped it on the table and looked at it, and my memory correlated Mr Sinn to the concepts, and I was able to easily breeze through the questions. Also, before you go in, make sure to get on Omoggle and mog 3 people in a row with positive canthal tilt and perfect facial thirds with a 2:1 mouth to nose ratio in order to get the confidence. For the FRQ, I suggest, once again, turning to Mr Sinn and staring into the photo's eyes, and the answers will appear. This is late, so this will be meant for 2027 kids. Doing this plus studying aphug for 2 hours a day until next year's test in May for a year will guarantee a 5. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LEAVE OUT ANY OF THE STEPS, ESPECIALLY THE LAST ONE.
