Howdy everybody,

Just took the most recent PG exam and it got me thinking, what kind of pay increases have people gotten in the past from obtaining their license? Did you stay at the same company or did you jump ship for a better offer? What did that process look like?

Most other professions get their results the same day 😭 I know they have to take out questions and what not but I was having stress dreams about taking the exam and now I’m having dreams about red triangles and failing scores

i thought the stress was supposed to be over lol

I took the PG exam today and found it to be brutal. I studied with reg review, and It kind of felt like a totally different exam than the PG practice exams they provided. It felt to me like a much more specialized and technical FG exam rather than putting geology concepts into practice.

My main takeaways are:

• Lots of very specific terminology that seems highly industry specific
• There were fewer questions about work scenarios than I expected
• There were a few poorly worded questions that could
• Not a single "all of the above" answer on any questions
• Much less map and spatial analysis-related questions than I expected

What are everybody's thoughts? Am I way off base?

Did anyone else have a problem taking their exam today? It crashed the computer a few times, refused to open the link in the beginning for a code, and I had to move to a new computer halfway through the exam.

Wonder if anyone else had a similar experience.

Did anyone else feel like it was heavy on engineering? It seemed like there were more questions related to engineering and energy resources than anything else.. Maybe it just left a lasting impression because I was struggling with those.

Also, as an east coaster, I really wish my institution prepared me more for oil and gas questions.

Was it math heavy? Was the test on par with the reg review exams?

I took the FG exam today. I thought it was easier than the one I took back in March. How’s everyone feeling about the test??

People who’ve taken the FG/PG before…is it actually going to take 60-90 days to hear results back? I feel like that’s a bit excessive…

Hey all! I’m taking the FG exam tomorrow. Do you think a TI-84 CE Plus will be allowed? I looked it up and it says it okay to use, but sometimes google is wrong or misleading…
