Cost for service ?

Purchased that watch on eBay. Currently it’s running great (great hum) but can’t push set date/day independently with crown pushed in. Any ideas regarding cost to service this? Trying to figure out if I should return it or try to negotiate partial refund.

Recently inherited this 1965 Accutron

I've inherited this watch, and am interested in selling it. (I'm a college student and could really use the money for loans, I wish that wasn't the case.)

I'm curious for any information y'all could provide about what's a fair value for this piece. It sat unused and was a company gift given to my great grandpa. Thank you❤️

Using 1.5 v battery in my 218 movement

As the title suggest. Is there a danger och a problem using a 1.5v battery?

I got myself an accucell-1.
When I use it I can hear the surr from the coils, but the watch do not move. When I put in a 344 battery 1.5v it moves right away and goes smooth.

Im just wondering if it might harm the watch somehow.

Got an 1975 bulova Accutron 218 movement N5

Spaceview - Service?

Pretty sure the date code is M6.

Assuming the band is not original to the watch.

Hey all. Just looking for some advice on what to do with my grandfathers watch. It has been sitting for years (I took the battery out a long time ago.. maybe 20+ years ago?).
I've always had a love for this watch, I'm just looking for info on the watch, and of course some suggestions.

From my google searching the M6 points me to a 1966 serial number. But that is about it. The crystal has some scratches since it was worn all the time by my grandfather.
The hands of course don't glow, and have what looks like some rust or something on them as well.
Always wondering if I should find a shop to have it serviced, or see what else is suggested?
Anything else I need to look out for? or should I just go find a battery and see if it still humms as it should? Or just keep in in the drawer and admire it as only a memento and not a working watch.
