so I have Acer Nitro V 15 I bought it about 4-5 months ago it's most of times in dusty environment, recently I played STALKER shadow of Chernobyl EE and the CPU temp goes crazy 85-95C° (I have i5-13420H) even on lowest settings and even if I increase the fan speed it doesn't change wth, so I assume it's because of dust and the bad factory thermal paste, I don't want to change the thermal paste I just want to clean it, I don't have Air compressor or anything like that to clean , how can I clean it it's my first time and honestly I'm stressed and and the repair shops are literally the worst in my region so I want to do it alone can anyone guide me please?

​I recently got a brand new Acer Nitro V 15 laptop (i5 13th Gen, RTX 5050, Windows 11), and everything is 100% healthy on the hardware side. However, I'm trying to understand a specific technical phenomenon regarding game crashes.

​I've noticed that many players face sudden crashes where the game just freezes and closes. Looking at the Windows Event Viewer, it either shows RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 followed by Exception code: 0xc0000005 (Access Violation), or it triggers a TDR error like "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED".

​What's fascinating is that this doesn't just happen with old, poorly optimized titles like PES 2019 or FIFA 21 (where memory mapping conflicts with newer hardware architectures), but it has also been reported in brand-new heavy titles like Resident Evil 9 (RE9).

​To be clear, I have already tried every standard troubleshooting method:

​Did a complete clean reinstall of the latest NVIDIA drivers (using DDU).

​Added the games and their folders to Windows Defender/Antivirus exclusions.

​Played around with Windows power plans and graphics settings.

​Verified that the laptop is brand new and thermal/hardware performance is perfect in other tasks.

​Since the hardware is completely fine, my question for the developers and tech experts here is:

​What is the exact root cause behind modern Windows 11/NVIDIA drivers treating these memory allocation and rendering timeouts so aggressively that it forcefully terminates the process? Is it strictly a software/optimization conflict between old/flawed engine code and modern GPU architectures?

As the title says, I got my first Nitro. It's an Acer Nitro ANV15-51. What should I look out for, what can I do to make it not overheat, what should I install so it can run smoothly. Any tips would be appreciated.

The laptop comes with windows 11 installed, is there any good reason I should install a fresh windows 11?

my power button is not working. i have this problem for a few days now, and i had a fix within the first few days by pressing it long & hard. the last time i used it was last night to watch a series. today, i was planning on continuing to watch it and it just won't turn on.

i have tried pressing the button long & hard but it won't budge — plugged & unplugged, nothing's working. the charger is working because the charging light on the side was turned on.

what should i do? i can't open it because i'm scared that i may damage it further if it is damaged now.

I've Nitro V15 with an rtx 4050 and i5 13420h this laptop is 1 yrs and 3 months old and i changed the thermal paste approx 1 yrs ago and from march onwards it starts heating again so i took it to the service center of acer because i had an extended warranty of 3 yrs .

So according to them my bios is causing this heating issue and they updated my bios and then nothing happens temps are same so they cleaned my fans and changed the thermal paste but nothing changed and they did it not in front of me so idk they really changed the paste or not so after 1 months i again took it to the service center and they said they need to reset my laptop because it has corrupt windows and malware inside and they reset my laptop and changed the thermal paste too but nothing changed .

After 10 days of noticing i convinced myself to open the laptop myself and repaste the thermal paste so i did some research and i find out about the PTM 7950 and the Thermal putty called HY206 (HY236 Pink) .

After sometime i bought it and when i opened my laptop back panel it was a mess they nothing cleaned anything my fans were dirty as hell my cpu and gpu thermal paste were pushed out of the die and their is bit left onto it ,that was the reason my cpu was heating soo much i will also attach the screenshot of before and after ptm 7950 .

And btw your usual or expensive thermal paste need to be changed after 6 months to 1years , but PTM 7950 need to be changed after 3-5yrs .

My pc performance gets unbearably rough especially when trying to game at 60 fps. It never stays locked at 60 with 1% lows going below 40 regularly on all the games I've played (Sifu, Halo Infinite, Marvel Rivals). It's most notable during cutscenes in both the first 2 games and in the menu on rivals. When I uncap the framerate in these games it gets smoother but it's not as smooth as I 'feel' it should be and the occasional hitches do happen.

I've activated xmp, rebar, tweaked v-snyc, changed monitor refresh rate multiple times, vrr and g-sync, reset bios, updated bios etc. but I still can't ever get a locked 60 fps experience. I've even fixed the GPU in another PC with an AMD 9 7900 and still get similar issues. That's how come I know it's not the CPU but could be the GPU?

specs: i7 14700f, rtx 5070 ti, 32gb DDR5 6000mhz

Everytime i unplug my headphone my laptop just freezes and i have to restart it. It's been like 3/4 days now that i have been facing this issue. Idk why it's happening and it's kinda scaring me. It has happened before too ( like when i opened the tiktok website on the chrome ) but the headphone one is a bit too frequent today alone it froze twice ( out of the 2 time i plugged it and removed so it's 100% guaranteed to happen every time for now ). Anyone has some knowledge about why it's happening ?

Hello, I have a Nitro 5 AN515-55, with the gtx1650, and some days ago it restarted out of nowhere, after the restart the graphics card appears on the device manager as not connected, I used DDU after that but when I try to install the Nvidia drivers again it says that I don't have a Nvidia card in my pc, can someone help me? 😭
