One month new nitro laptop is increasing cpu.

I bought the ANV15-41-R6HR model around April 20th ish and it’s only been a month.

It used to be fine. I had games such as Fortnite or Security Breach running at 79°c both at high graphics. I also have the llano cooling pad. When I do play games, I put it into performance mode, max fan.

Recently, it’s been above 85°c so I checked the graphics drive and updated it. Now it’s still at 85°c. My brother told me to open task manager and close random programs like chrome and stuff but it still hasn’t done anything to bring it back.

It’s currently sitting in balance and auto and it’s at 66°c cou with only 16% cpu. It used to sit at 30-40 around that percentage

My Acer Nitro 16 (AN15-51)reaches 94-95°C CPU temp and 71/84°C GPU.

My Acer Nitro 16 AN15-51 reaches 94–95°C CPU temperature and 72/3C GPU temperature while i played for 1 minute Grand Theft Auto V on low settings with Turbo Mode and Auto Fan mode enabled even used laptop stand. I bought this laptop 3 days ago. Also, when I’m not playing games and any browsers and other software open which can see on image, the CPU temperature stays around 49–70°C and the GPU temperature stays around 46–56°C. Is this normal?

Battery issue

So this is my acer Nitro V 15, 3050 6GB, Ryzen 5 laptop, it came with windows but as I realised and I wanted to learn stuff as well so I switched to Arch linux via Endeavour OS and as you can see I have been using it for a while now.

I bought this laptop around September last year in Flipkart BBD and today I just randomly decided to test it's battery life to see how long it lasts, the last time I saw it was around 2-3 hrs on windows and according to my knowledge Linux is more power efficient i.e. it doesn't have many background tasks. But when I tested it today only in like an hour of coding and Spotify online at the same time reduced its battery from 80% to 28%.

I am not here to rant I just wanna know if I am missing something or is there anyway to improve the battery life, as of now the battery health is at 98%.

Meanwhile my friend, using an acer aspire of the same 3050 6GB variant just with Intel i5 and windows 11 only got down from 100% to 70%, doing the same exact tasks as me.

Please help cause I genuinely didn't expect it to have this shit of battery life, even on linux.

NO BOOTABLE DEVICE

Hello, I have an Acer Nitro V16 (some specs: 16:10, 1TB ssd, RTX 4060, AmD Ryzen 7 8845HS) that showed me the NO BOOTABLE DEVICE like 40 days ago. I fixed it, after a long process to recover all the data first, but yesterday the same identical issue showed up again. Like a loop. I’m exhausted actually, because I was still recovering from the reorganisation of all my stuff.

I wanted to know:

  1. is this some kind of default issue that happens with this model? Because if so, I’m gonna change the machine.
  2. did it happen to someone else other than me? I can’t believe that is just misfortune.

[Unsolved] BSOD VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL (10e) on Battery Power / Waking from Sleep - Acer Nitro V15

Hi everyone,

About 3 weeks ago, we bought an Acer Nitro V15 ANV15-52 laptop (FreeDOS) for my sibling to use for university. I did the initial setup and installed the drivers located on its internal disk partition. Everything seemed fine at first, but my sibling told me it started giving blue screens and shutting down while studying. The initial error code was KERNEL\_MODE\_HEAP\_CORRUPTION.

Since they were at university and had an urgent assignment, I couldn't intervene immediately. It wasn't a constant error; sometimes it worked flawlessly for 3 hours, other times it crashed 5-10 minutes after booting. When they came home, I thought maybe the drivers were incompatible with Windows 10, so I upgraded it to Windows 11. When the issue persisted, I used DDU to wipe the graphics drivers and reinstalled them from Acer's official website. That didn't solve it either.

Thinking it might need a clean install, I formatted the PC, installed a fresh Windows 11, and downloaded all the latest drivers directly from Acer's official site. Turns out, the official VGA driver on their site is bugged/wrong. In games, there was a faint red watermark in the bottom right corner (See Image 1). I asked an AI about this, and it said this was likely a developer test driver. I tested it via CMD (nvidia-smi) and saw that the driver wasn't recognizing the GPU properly and was locking the wattage at a 50W limit (See Image 2).

After this, I used DDU again to completely remove the drivers in Safe Mode and reinstalled the original OEM drivers that came inside the laptop's ResourceCD disk. Running the same CMD command, it correctly showed the RTX 5050 with a 60W capacity, as it should be.

I installed all missing drivers from the Device Manager; there were no unknown devices left. The system was completely clean. Then came our main issue: the VIDEO\_MEMORY\_MANAGEMENT\_INTERNAL (Bugcheck 10e) error. I evaluated all possibilities for this. I am attaching the last 4-5 minidump files, and they all point to the exact same issue (dxgmms2.sys and VIDMM\_CPU\_HOST\_APERTURE::MapRange).

Finally, I downloaded and installed the latest BIOS and VBIOS updates from Acer's official site. I thought this would definitely fix it, but I was wrong—the issue persists. Throughout this process, I disabled Windows Update using a blocker so it wouldn't download incompatible/outdated drivers in the background.

Here is the catch: The crashes NEVER happen during gaming or when the laptop is plugged in. They ONLY happen when on battery power. I've gotten this error when waking the laptop from sleep (it reboots with a BSOD as soon as the desktop appears). It usually happens when browser tabs and Word are open. As a test, I switched to "Battery Saver" mode while having 3-5 tabs open, and it instantly gave the error and rebooted. However, I tried the exact same thing 5-6 more times later, and it didn't crash. In short, it's intermittent and unpredictable when or under what conditions it will crash, but I NEVER get this error while using the NVIDIA GPU heavily or when plugged into the charger.

Here is a summary of the troubleshooting steps I've taken:

• Driver cleanup and fixing the first error: Cleaned NVIDIA and Intel drivers in Safe Mode using DDU. Reinstalling the original internal NVIDIA driver fixed the 50W limit and the KERNEL\_MODE\_HEAP\_CORRUPTION error.

• OEM Driver Installation: Used the factory drivers from the internal ResourceCD partition instead of the official website. Clean installed Intel VGA UMA, Intel Chipset, and Intel Turbo Boost (MEI).

• Windows Update Blocker: Used a blocker tool to prevent Windows Update from overwriting these stable drivers.

• BIOS Update: Updated the motherboard BIOS from v1.30 to the latest v1.53 (System optimization) from Acer's site.

• VBIOS Update: Successfully flashed the Firmware (VBIOS) update provided for the NVIDIA RTX 5050.

• Power Setting Tests: Since the error triggers in low power states on battery, I ran load tests by playing a 4K video in the browser while setting Windows to "Best Power Efficiency" mode.

• RAM Test: Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic, and no errors were found.

• Last Attempts: Just now, I disabled Memory Integrity (Core Isolation) and Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) in Windows. I'm currently testing with these turned off, but assuming this won't fix it either, I decided to post here.

I'm open to any suggestions. Is there anything I missed? Sending it to warranty is my last resort, but I want to rule out every single software possibility first to avoid the hassle.

Temperature problem with AN5

I have Acer Nitro 5 since 2022 and I have always had this problem. My laptop is refubrished and I have 3050ti and i7 11800H, 16GB RAM, 2x 256 GB SSD.

Since the very beginning my GPU and CPU always worked under very high temperatures when doing anything even a little bit demanding. When for example playing games my CPU goes as high as 93°C and GPU maybe around 83°C.

Whenever I'm playing newer games I'm experiencing very low fps, for example I started playing Rust recently and even when I lowered all the settings to minimal values I still have 20-35 fps. For some games it is always like this and for others I have no problems. Also if I turn the settings to high I still have same fps numbers so I don't think it has anything to do with the game itself.

I also tried a lot of things in the Windows settings, like changing the power plan settings, changing preferable GPU to be 3050ti and not integrated Intel card, etc, also changed thermal paste, nothing helped.

Anyone has a solution for this?

Sharing my experience about this.

This device here is NITRO V16 WUXGA AI 5050 series and R 5 240. I got on sale here philippines.

Played on balanced mode never tried performance or turbo.

CPU and GPU temps peaks at most 72 and 76.

Games Ive played.

*Cyperpunk 2077 Ultra setting DLSS on 170-200fps
*Hogwarts Legacy High DLSS on 150 fps
*GTA V Max Setting 160 fps
*WWM MAX DLSS on below 200 fps
*RDR2 since this game has no frame generation it only peaks at most 120 fps at Ultra-High Setting

The battery drains per gaming session about 6-7 percents only. I use 80% limit optimization.

So far this laptop has met my expectations prolly exceeded it since this is a small device compared to a full setup PC.

Acer Nitro V15 Screen problem

Does anyone know what could be the cause of this

Background info: i got this laptop 2 weeks ago, it was fine until yesterday. The screen started glitching when i was browsing. I did some troubleshooting and found a temp fix which was just staying in 60hz, every time i went back to 165hz, glitch. I already updated drivers and reinstalled it multiple times. I tried connecting it to an external display and the glitchy flickering was not visible on the other display

Problems with headsets (specifically the mic)

So, basically, my laptop wont recognize my headset's mic. I recently bought this headset, the Havit H2002D, it comes with a little "Y" adapter to plug in case your pc has two entrances, for audio and mic, regardless, it is also supposed to just work without it, since its a headset pin already (it has 3 stripes) I tried connecting like that (1st img) and it didnt recognize the mic, so i tought, oh maybe i should use the y adapter, with another adapter so the notebook has two entrances (2nd img), but that didnt work either. So i updated the drivers, and that didnt work either, i messed around with like EVERY driver software, went into realtek audio console, on that other one i think its realtek hd audio controller or something, changed it from headphone to headset, didnt work either, hell i even factory resseted it and then repeated everything i had done before again, nothing seems to work!! Also yes i have checked to see if they are well plugged, they are.

PS: there was ONE time the mic indeed worked after i had uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but it worked only for a few seconds and stopped, so i know its not the headset that is broken.

Anyways sorry for any english mistakes, its not my first language

Additional information that might help:

OS: Windows 11
Nitro model: Nitro AN515-46

Charge limit makes my laptop perform worse

Nitro 5 AN515-57
8GB ram
intel i5-11400

I enabled the charge limit and it said that it needs to charge to 100% and then slowly discharge to 80% it did that even though i did not see the percentage change from my end. However the laptop was running really slow like slower than on just the battery power and it crashed (BSOD).

NB: Can i game at high performance with this enabled? Because what i would notice when gaming whilst charging it would reach a 100% and then drop back to 99% constantly
