I Saw a Mermaid in This Pour Painting… So, I Painted Her 🧜‍♀️🎨

Sometimes a painting keeps whispering to you until you finally listen.
That’s exactly what happened with this one.
https://youtu.be/kut4BRcCdmE?si=j2xfxGyhGWr6BXIf
Ever since I created this acrylic pour, I felt like there was a mermaid hidden inside the flowing colors and waves. The problem? I’m definitely not a realistic painter 😅 Painting faces and figures with a brush has always felt a little intimidating to me.

But this time I decided not to overthink it. No perfect plan, no sketch… just courage, paint, and curiosity.

Thank you so much for watching and supporting my art journey. Let me know in the comments — have you ever tried something creative that scared you a little?

Mystic Lagoon 💙 Split Cup Acrylic Pour ~ Fluid Art

Mystic Lagoon 💙
Today’s video is a continuation of my previous one. I used my Modular Split Cup again, this time choosing a three-chamber setup.

https://youtu.be/hy1qFEcpDow?si=7AzrPABy3tUi3viv

I poured different shades of blue into the middle chamber, and greens and gold into the outer ones.

I struggled a bit with the composition, so there’s still room for improvement, but the final result feels simply magical.

Question

Not what I intended, but it’s pretty cool…Any idea why my cells are doing this, is the paint too thin?

Acrylic Pouring Split Cup Technique

In today’s video, I’m creating an acrylic pour painting with a split cup technique.

https://youtu.be/mydzxT_IxCY?si=ZVfTaH1NyeFd0KO4

Things didn’t exactly go as planned — I made quite a few mistakes along the way — but I kept going, trusted the process, and in the end, the painting turned into something I truly loved. Sometimes the most beautiful results are born from the moments when we refuse to give up. ✨

“Mistakes are just paint on the road to something beautiful.” 🎨

Half off all my fluid artwork

Hello all!!

I just wanted to pop in and share that I'm selling all of my old fluid artwork at HALF OFF in order to relieve my storage, and make room for my newer artwork. I've learned so much from acrylic pours and I'm incredibly grateful to the years I spent in this era. But it's time to close this chapter and move on to a next one.

Let me know if there are any pieces that catch your eye, or if there are any specific colors you're looking for. I'd be happy to curate a special selection for you.

Acrylic Pour Painting for Beginners | Hair Dryer Technique 💙💚Link in the description

Hello from Slovenia again!
Today I will play with fluid acrylics and a hair dryer. I mixed my paints with Owatrol Floetrol in 2:1 ratio.

https://youtu.be/ClHwgI9-n2c?si=VGZauFPg4bX4C_go

I put down my white basecoat and just did some lines of paint in kind of a "gradient way". I blow it out with a hair dryer first, then blow with my mouth in some places and spin it out.

I really like the final results...It gives me Calm before the storm 💙 vibes. What do you see?

If you like art videos and fluid painting experiments, consider subscribing to Fiona Art for more creative pouring ideas and fluid art inspiration.

First time doing a dry Dutch pour on a 4 ft x 4 ft canvas

Dutch pours on single large canvases can be difficult! I made a some big mistakes that I should have known not to make again in my first attempt on this large 4’x4’ canvas (photo #2). To fix it and not waste a ton of base color paint, I did a “dry” Dutch pour for the first time without flooding the canvas again, I used very little of the blue base color around a hefty amount of each new color in the blowout lines. I totally went in a different direction, and I’m SO happy with how it turned out.
