Tried a Double Dip diptych using just cheap PVA glue and water as a medium. Surprised by the pearl lacing!

One dip, two paintings… and a beautiful botanical surprise! 🌿🌸

In this video, I’m creating a botanical diptych using a simple Double Dip acrylic pouring technique. With just a few drops of fluid acrylic paint and two canvases, one pour becomes two connected paintings — and the reveal is always the best part!
Full video: https://youtu.be/P3r-TlEFjmo?si=GXCcm4q0aknIVifK

This time, the result turned into something that reminds me of an exotic botanical garden full of flowers, leaves, and delicate organic shapes. 🌿🌸
It’s a simple technique, but the results can be surprisingly detailed and beautiful. And the fact that you get two paintings from one pour makes it even more fun!
🎨 Technique: Double Dip Acrylic Pour
🌿 Style: Botanical / Fluid Art
🖌️ Two canvases, one pour, two paintings!
I hope you enjoy watching this one come together. Sometimes the most beautiful paintings happen when you simply let the paint do its thing. ✨
If you enjoy relaxing and unexpected fluid art experiments, don't forget to like, subscribe, and leave a comment — I’d love to know what you see in these botanical shapes! 💚

My latest creation from today. Loving how the cells turned out on this one. I uploaded the full creation process on my channel Fiona Art if you're interested!

I was trying to create a feather-like effect by pouring acrylic paint over a straw… but somewhere along the way, the painting decided it wanted to become a flower instead. 🌸

🎬 Watch the full creation process video here:

https://youtu.be/0TpjzDt6gvc?si=wTyy-7be2NeE14ND

For this fluid art experiment, I poured the paint over a straw and let the movement of the paint create the pattern. The final result wasn't exactly what I had imagined, but honestly, that's one of my favorite things about acrylic pouring — sometimes the paint has its own plans. I love how the flowing shapes almost look like petals or feathers.

Tried the "Kiss & Spin" fluid art technique today! Absolutely in love with how these cellular lace patterns stretched out

Just wanted to share this short satisfying process video from my studio session. Layering the colors correctly before spinning makes such a huge difference for cell retention. Let me know if you want to know my exact mixing formulas or the cell activator recipe, I'm happy to share them in the comments!

Using an egg separator as a split cup for a satisfying and perfectly symmetrical fluid art flower! 🍳

For this piece, I decided to go with an elegant monochromatic color palette using classic black and white, paired with a stunning greenish-blue accent for that perfect pop of contrast.

https://youtu.be/kHHrtpv4KQc?si=Z_hPla05mLg9yWzd
I layered these colors in a cup and poured them directly over a straw.
The result? It created the most beautiful, delicate feather-like patterns! 🎨✨
The Big Lesson Learned: While the initial patterns turned out absolutely gorgeous, I made a bit of a mistake during the tilting process. In my opinion, I tilted the canvas just a little too much, which stretched out those perfect feather details. This is all part of the artistic journey! I am definitely going to try this technique again soon and pay much closer attention to the tilting phase.

What do you think? Do you like how it turned out, or do you think less tilting would have been better? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

I poured acrylic paint through an egg separator... and the result surprised me! 🎨 | Experimental Fluid Art

I wanted to share this fun, experimental fluid art session. Instead of using traditional tools, I decided to try something completely different and poured my paints through a kitchen egg separator!

I mixed the acrylics with some craft PVA glue, and I absolutely love how the paint created these unexpected abalone cells and patterns along the way. To me, the final painting has a really peaceful ocean/water landscape feeling. Sometimes the strangest ideas lead to the most interesting results!

I Poured Paint Over a Cardboard Tube... The Result Was Incredible! Fluid Art ✨

What happens when you pour acrylic paint over a simple cardboard tube? In this video, I'm trying a fun fluid art technique that creates beautiful flowing patterns with very little effort.

https://youtu.be/LOKHCfAwfD0?si=uMhw09-oYba8Kbt0

The paint wraps around the tube before hit the canvas, revealing an abstract painting that reminds me of a glowing wave where fire meets the ocean.

One of the things I love most about acrylic pouring is experimenting with everyday objects. You never know exactly what will happen, and that's part of the magic. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the satisfying process as the painting comes to life.

Acrylic Pour on a Convex Stretched Canvas ~ Do's & Don'ts ⭐

In this video, I'm sharing what I learned from trying to pour on convex (domed) stretched canvas—the things that worked well and the mistakes you can easily avoid.
https://youtu.be/KXCKbs6T35E?si=5HM7b6jYBcALkirx
One of the biggest differences is that the paint keeps moving much longer than on a flat canvas because of the curved surface. You'll need to tilt off much more paint than you might expect to keep the composition balanced. I also found that using a slightly thicker paint consistency helps the sides look just as beautiful as the front, giving the finished piece a more polished appearance.

Thank you, Rebecca, for your generous gift! Hugs from sLOVEnia!

If you've been thinking about trying a convex canvas, I hope these tips help make your first attempt a success!

✨ Quick Note: Some of my original paintings—including pieces that were exhibited in Pennsylvania—are now available to purchase on the website. I'll also be adding new paintings regularly, so be sure to check back if you're looking for something unique.

Relaxing Magic Wand Acrylic Pour ✨ Mesmerizing Fluid Art Therapy

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the calming flow of paint as I create this mesmerizing Magic Wand acrylic pour.
https://youtu.be/LfvFBS6B1rE?si=Z1BnkCI0uw6Qbosj
The Magic Wand technique is one of my favorite fluid art methods because the layered colors glide over a simple cardboard tube, creating beautiful ribbons, delicate feathering, and unexpected details. Every pour is unique, making the process just as magical as the finished painting.

✨ Let the colors slow your thoughts, and enjoy the journey from blank canvas to finished artwork.

I Jinxed My Double Dip Acrylic Pour… But the Result Was Incredible! 😲

I always tell my viewers that the Double Dip acrylic pouring technique is very forgiving. If the first dip isn't exactly what you hoped for, you can simply add more paint and try again.

Well... this time I accidentally proved my own point! 😄
https://youtu.be/YMXa9mle7HQ?si=R3tGyz3Dvr_m0rAi
After separating my canvases in the wrong orientation, I thought I had ruined the composition. Instead of giving up, I added a little more blue and yellow paint and dipped again. The unexpected first layer became a beautiful background, while the suction between the two canvases created incredible organic patterns and details.

Sometimes the "mistake" becomes the most beautiful part of the painting.

I hope it inspires you to trust your creativity and remember that every unexpected turn can lead to something unique.
