Did most of these paintings in the early 2020s but never did more than paint them. Now going to a show in September and finishing them by printing frames and adding an epoxy topcoat. This is about 3/4s and still working on the big pieces. Hope I can get everything done.
As title says, getting back into pouring! Paint got muddy my first pour, still figuring out the right ratios, didn't use enough paint the second pour. Happy with how this turned out, just a flip cup, no oil, curious to see how it dries. Excited to do more :)
I think I went a bit overboard..

Revisiting some old paintings, working on some of them. After a while without creating, I needed to let go of all judgment and just create freely, letting the flow show through under all the intellect. Creating rhythms.
In today’s fluid art tutorial, I am creating a mesmerizing Acrylic Straight Pour using rich Jewel Tones.
Watch as the deep purples, vibrant blues, and shimmering golds blend together on the canvas to create stunning cells and unique patterns. The final look reminds me of deep-sea treasures!

In this video I will show an experiment with water and Vallejo Polyurethane varnish as my pouring medium. I was surprised how beautiful this painting turned out, and the effects created are just gorgeous.

While I thoroughly enjoyed this process, I didn’t REALLY know where I was going or have a clear direction until the VERY end. Meaning, i poured/tilted/fiddled & fidgeted a few times and by the time I saw where I wanted to go, the paint that I wanted to tilt already started setting up and as a consequence of the extreme tilting, the newly poured paint got stretched beyond. These 2 orientations are the only ones that work - I think- for the distortion. Maybe that’s the name Distortion or Distorted Blues or Blue Distortion 🤭
This one caused me so much anguish! Now, it's done.
My first real attempt at a tree/landscape swipe. Any suggestions for improvements would be very welcome!
I’m trying to mimic a previous painting that dried on an angle. I know it can’t possibly happen .
My hubby always kicks my ass in painting contests!
