Wow this was awful. Samir’s plot line ew no so let me get this straight he sexually assaults a girl and what all of his friends act like it’s no big deal? The whole storyline is almost making it a punchline that he cares except he doesn’t really care he only cares about the image he has of himself not the girl. Not to mention as soon as that lady finds it sexy he was gonna use the fact he sexually assaulted that girl as almost four-play? No.

Now I’ll get this straight before anyone comes at me with the it’s dark humour bullshit. This plot can work absolutely in a show like it’s always sunny where the characters themselves are terrible people so it’d make sense that the friends reactions are simply oh it doesn’t matter it won’t get you cancelled.what it doesn’t work is for a show like adults where yes the characters are flawed but not supposed to be downright awful people which is what this episode made them. I think the premise itself is actually very interesting the kind of sweet harmless guy finds out he does cross the line it opens up a interesting plot where there can be humour and an actual conversation but it steered away from any seriousness despite it being a fucking serious issue.

Ik it’s just a tv show but in my opinion this shit almost try’s to normalise sexual assault and I think it’s a fucking horrific piece of television I mean the whole punchline was haha Samir feels bad he took advantage of a girl.

I just binged the show in one week and I found it very well-written, very funny, and very well-acted. There’s just one thing that is driving me nuts…

The Kew Gardens E/F subway stop they’re presenting as the group’s local subway stop is not local to Bayside…at all. I grew up in Bayside, Queens. I live in Astoria, Queens. I have lived in this borough for (almost) my entire life.

There is no universe where that stop is your local, walkable stop. That stop is local to Kew Gardens and Forest Hills. The only way you’d walk to that stop is if you wanted to have a day where your activity for that day is WALKING.

There is no direct subway stop servicing Bayside. The closest one is the 7 at Flushing Main Street and to get to Bayside would still be, a walk, but it would be more believable. For public transit in Bayside, you need a bus or the Long Island Railroad.

I’d love to see a Halloween episode in the future and I was curious on what you guys thought each member of the group would dress up as. I also like the head canon that they would try to do a group costume but would not coordinate properly. I also like the thought of Issa dressing up as a horror movie character and scaring her dance school students. Paul Baker would be a cool Spider-Man. I saw someone say that pb CHEATED on issa When he kissed anton?? And like, HOW is that cheating?? She LITERALLY told them to kiss. then basically told them to kiss better when they did thier fast whatever kiss. How is that cheating??

Their reasons was because it "went on for too long" and that issa "felt uncomfortable seeing her bf kissing someone else for that long" and "it didn’t have to be for that long, even issa felt that it was too long of a kiss" and like, i feel like that's such a stupid reason to say its cheating. Because to be honest? If you're gonna be uncomfortable when your boyfriend kisses someone for too long then maybe dont tell them to kiss? But thats just me idk.😂

And like, Lets not use "cheating" in this stupid way guys.

I think the writers prefers people to start with the Paul Baker origin episode which is why they have it in the season one category. But I was wondering if people agree with that?
