Should I stop?

I have been doing aerial for almost 9 years and hoop for at least 7 years. I am only able to afford 1 class a session if any at all. Im starting to get to the point where I feel like I am back tracking and can't do things I used to. I have a lot of stress at home so its hard to condition at home. I don't want to stop, but I am also struggling with feeling like I'm not good enough to even be doing this anymore. Any advice?

First Photoshoot Advice

Hi,

Just looking for some advice, I have my first photoshoot coming up soon and not sure what to expect! If you have any advice on things to know/bring for the day that would be appreciated.

Also any advice on outfits/colours would be amazing! I think the backdrop is going to be a light grey colour

Thanks in advance ☺️

anyone have a “portable” lyra rig that you use indoors in your house?

hi all! do you have an at home rig? lemme know how you like it! where you got it from, and also just random little observations and anecdotes about having an aerial rig in your house.

if you have used more than one brand of portable rig, which do you prefer and why?

how high are your ceilings? do you feel you have enough room?

i’m looking into getting a portable rig to set up at home. it will be indoors and i am intending to pretty much have it be a permanent fixture in the house. the reason i’m opting for the portable is we rent and who knows maybe i will want to take it somewhere to perform someday.

need rigging advice please

Is the above a safe rigging setup? If not, how can I attach the hoop to the rig if the rig does not have a hook and is just a bar? I am new at the home setup and I was told my previous rig was unsafe (I was using a daisy chain on the bar). Just looking to figure out the best way to do this. Thank you!

Lyra and Pull Ups

Hi all! Lately, I've been convinced there will be more poses accessible to me if I can do an unassisted pull up! Am I right? If so, do you have favorite conditioning exercises to work on a pull up?

What were the biggest changes you noticed in your body since starting?

How often do you practice and how long until you noticed those changes?

Tippy Lyra

Does anyone have an experience with tippy lyra? I've been doing single point for about 6 years now and I would call myself mediocre at best. I want to try learning tippy lyra over the summer. Does anyone have an experience with it? I would love to get some perspective.

How to get into performing into small events like ren fairs, little festivals etc.

Hi,

so I'm doing hoop now since 2 1/2 years and I would like to get into performing at smaller events like ren fairs, little festivals or also public events hosted by my hometown.

Unfortunately, I have never worked in the entertainment industry before so I don't even know where to start and how to promote myself or which equipment I need (I doubt that they will have something for me to rig most the time). Also so far I just choreographed one act for a charity show myself 😅

I do own a regular X-Pole A-frame which is easy to carry.

For reference, I'm based in Europe, more specifically in southern Germany.
