Aerial Cosplay Progress (Batch 1 of 2) - Remember to swipe!

There were requests to see it in motion, so I've made some gifs this time around.

Nothing is metal or plastic, the shiny bits are a rubbery 3D printing medium, which is the only reason this is safe to do. Please don't try things like this in a regular cosplay.

(Technically the glasses are metal and plastic but we're ignoring that.) Most of the updates since the last one have been about keeping everything stabilized better, but the kneepads are entirely new.

Finally got my hip balance!!!! I’m so happy I could cry!!!

I’ve been training the hoop for a year and about three months now, and the hip balance was a goal of mine for so long!!!! The goal now is to stay MORE than 5 seconds balanced lol

Question

Hey, I have a question. I'm a bit confused since I like to watch aerial videos on tiktok occasionally and I've noted by watching the videos that there seems to be a surge of beginner aerialists that are becoming instructors before having ample experience in the art to then teach others safely. What do you guys think on this topic?

Last week's sequence

Today makes 5 months since I started learning lyra. Still working on being graceful

Maternity photos on the lyra?

I have an opportunity to do a lyra photoshoot when I'll be about 30 weeks pregnant! I'm looking for ideas for mostly beginner/intermediate shapes that will photograph well and capture the bump :) Anyone have any inspo they can share?!

Obligatory: I am cleared by my doctor, have been doing aerial for ~7 years and am sticking to beginner/intermediate shapes for my own comfort, not because that's where I'm currently at skill-wise.

✨Aerial Hoop Moon Photoshoot 🌙

Some of my favorite pics from this little session 🥹🌙

Inverted man in the moon tips?

Hi all! I'm looking for tips on getting to inverted man in the moon pivoting inside the hoop from regular man in the moon. I don't have video (sorry) but my hand positioning is correct, I can get there with a spot lightly guiding me, but doing it on my own I feel very shaky and have a hard time keeping my shoulder from slipping. Any thoughts or advice are appreciated!
