Anyone have thoughts on this for home Lyra setup?
It's on marketplace and I'm contemplating buying it. It's 8ft

I have some Newbaums tape I am going to use to tape the top of my mini lyra. This is my first time taping and I've watched a few guides but I am unsure on how to start if that makes sense.
I was thinking of starting from 10 o clock and wrap over my initial wrap for a quarter of the hoop. Then do the same from 2 o clock and double wrapping around the top where the rig point is.
Does anyone have any advice?
Thank you!
Partly flow given by the teacher at my studio, partly improvisation ending in a couple moves I just wanted to try out.
So fun! And I think this looks so cool for performances 🥹
Yeah that checks out 😂
Hello, I am trying to put together my first lyra choreography for a performance at our studio this fall. I am struggling with a part where I would like to have a fast(er) paced transition from single leg cradle to sitting inside the hoop, but not going under the bar (so no cradle roll to delilah or similar) or not doing an arabesque (as that came before). So far I only managed to find wayy too advanced transitions that fit the criteria. I would really appreciate some suggestions, especially with videos, if possible
Hey guys, this is only my second time attending to tape a Lyra, the first time I had the same issues. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. When I overlap the bottom part like all the online guides suggest, the type rolls on me. Am I not using the right tape? I'll be honest, I'm not even sure what tape I'm using, it's been provided to me by my studio.
Edit: I've gotten a couple of really good tips, and have to tape another tonight, so I'll report back on what works!
I had so much fun learning these, definitely need to practice but I think we're getting there 🥹
