Last month I was able to do this but why not now?

I have currently 4 loans I pay on monthly with affirm, each with different apps.. shein, temu, and amazon.. each payment is around 30 dollars a month and I always pay on time ive never been late except for one time and I wasnt even actually late I was just short one dollar on my payment. But I still ended up paying the stupid dollar shortage just not until later on because I forgot about it. Today I tried to take out another one with depop, as I did last month with no issue; i made a purchase for 60 dollars and agreed to pay it all in full the first of that following month when I got paid. So this has me irate because why would they deny me today for another loan thru depop? I literally just paid it off in full Last month so wtf?

Paid a payment with my Amex

I received a temporary card number and a temporary CVV before my physical card arrived and I wanted to pay off an affirm payment with my credit card. I didn’t think that it would work because it’s not allowed usually but this payment did work and fully went through but then after it posted, the credit card was removed from my method of payment on affirm and I can no longer use it. Does anybody know why it worked once? 😂

Using Affirm card for Dental procedure

Hey everyone. Just looking for some more up to date info about using affirm for a dental procedure I’m going to need (last post I found was 4 years ago). I’ve been having problems with a tooth that needs to be extracted and it will be an emergency procedure. I don’t have dental insurance unfortunately so I’m going to have to pay for it out of pocket. I recently received the affirm card in the mail and was curious if I could use that card to get a payment plan for the dental visit. I do see that some dental businesses work through affirm but doesn’t look like it’s for any offices in my area. Does anyone have an info that could help me out? Thanks in advance.

First timer here

Made a purchase through Amazon for a switch 2, I can easily pay it off, not worried about that.

Got an approval email last night after purchasing.

Tonight I got two denial emails saying their partner bank is unable to pre-qualify me..

App still says plan is pending,

I can see the list of my monthly payments and when they're due.

Amazon says item will arrive Monday.

Soo did I get approved or what?

Thanks!

Just confused, I've heard this happened to others, they still got the ir items and made payments...

Thieves and liars

I’m trying to get my money back for a mattress that was returned to Nectar. Nectar paid Affirm and the refund by Nectar was approved on August 7, 2026. Affirm sent me an email on August 7, 2026 stating my money was in route to my bank account and that it should take 3 to 5 days. Today is August 17, 2026 and as of 12:30 PM today I had not heard ANYTHING from Affirm whatsoever. So I called, bypassed AI and reached a customer service rep. This representative said that they had “tried to deposit my money, over $2600, into my bank account on August 14, 2026, but it was declined.??? Maybe it’s just me, but how does a deposit from one company who supposedly is so reputable, get declined by a bank. Affirms excuse was that “the bank was probably having maintenance issues that day“. To which my response was BS. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was connected. The supervisor repeated the same story. She further stated that if I could prove that the bank did indeed have maintenance issues that day that they could re-issue the direct deposit. Otherwise, I could expect a check in the mail sometime in the next 30 business days at this point I am fuming. She could not give me my bank account number as I suggested that maybe they had tried to deposit it in the wrong account number. All she would say was that they would not try to direct deposit it again and I would have to wait on a check. After fulfilling some obligations for the day and returning home six hours later, I called Affirm again. I spoke with another customer service agent after bypassing AI and she sees on her screen that they had previously had a conversation with me earlier in the day to which I verified with her in no uncertain terms. I also told her that her call was being recorded as well. Prior to my calling her, I phoned my bank and asked if there had been a maintenance issue on August 14, 2026 to which they replied an emphatic “NO“. I further asked if they could check to see if indeed a direct deposit had been attempted on August 14, 2026. She graciously said she could, she checked, and came back with a resounding “no deposits were attempted automatically, directly or by direct presentation of such”. I informed the customer service rep at Affirm that her information was incorrect, and that she was lying to me once again by stating that the deposit had been attempted and declined. I offered Affirm the number to call the bank to verify that there had not been an attempt made to deposit anything and that there were no maintenance issues that day after I was told that the only way I could get a direct deposit done now would be if they could verify that those two issues we’re not viable concerns. The customer service rep at Affirm informed me that it was impossible for their system to make a second attempt to try to deposit as they had already made a second attempt and it was declined as well on August 14, 2026. My response was a less than gracious BS. I asked her if I was going to get the interest money that they accumulated off of my money lying in their account and I might as well have been talking to a four year-old. Trying to explain the concept of a company profiting by interest-bearing accounts was as though I was trying to speak Swahili to a Russian. She stated that my check would be issued in the mail sometime in the next 30 days, but could not exact a date for me. I demanded to be emailed when the check was mailed to me and she replied that she would see to it that I was emailed. I asked her to confirm my email address and her response was “it’s the one you gave us“ a few minutes later I was finally able to extract that information from her. Rest assured I’m going to become a boil on their ass until I get my money back, and if you have even the slightest doubt that anything that you purchase might need to be returned that you have the opportunity to finance through Affirm DON’T DO IT! If there is a way to do a class section law suit against Affirm, would somebody please tell me so I can sign up? This company Affirm has got to be stopped. They may offer you the moon and the stars, but their malignant way of doing business is toxic. I have never in my 70 years seen such deceptive, covert practices. I’m not asking them for one penny more than I am owed. But I did promise the last customer service rep. I spoke to that I would take every chance I could to burn them to the ground by reviews for what they’re doing to people. Living on Social Security is hard enough. Dealing with cancer is hard enough. Getting old is hard enough. None of us should have to put up with this nonsense. Don’t do business with AFFIRM, and tell everyone you know to avoid them like the plague. They are thieves and liars. And they’re making a big mistake if they think I’m going to give up this easily

Says no limit, but works via Apple Pay every time?

So I’ve been using Affirm for over a year already. I have over $3000 worth of paid fully or in process transaction.

Somehow, I can never see what my true limit is, I always received this message when requesting a pay overtime but when I use Apple Pay for any transaction such as Amazon or Airbnb it works every time anyone no reason why?

Partial payment before charge off date

Hello,

I was wondering if you make a payment (say the amount 90 days overdue but not the 60 days overdue), if that will prevent the account from being charged off.

PSA: customercare@affirm.com actually reaches a human. And what their supervisor did with my bug report.

The email first. If you're stuck in Affirm support, customercare@affirm.com is monitored. A supervisor gave it to me during chat. It's the only Affirm address I've found that isn't a dead end (although I can't guarantee you will reach anyone helpful).
***help@affirm.com is not monitored. Stating plainly so no one wastes their time.***

Now the messed up part.

Supervisor told me he would open a case once I sent evidence. I sent screenshots. He reviewed them, then he retracted what he said about opening a case and said I had to continue troubleshooting as he tried to walk me through things I had already listed as attempted already.
(This was after 2 agents, and hours of troubleshooting just today. Using "troubleshooting" loosely because all the agents were taking me in circles trying the same things. I made sure to make a concise list of everything I had tried already so this wouldn't happen, but you can guess from the post how that went. It seems they don't read what you write.)

I was steered multiple times to the interest-producing card as the single existing fix. For reference it was a minimum of $86 interest if I were to do it the way they were pushing. The supervisor then made opening a bug case for me conditional on my first using that very card. He refused to open the case until I used the card, after I had declined twice clearly with "no," and cited the interest and the fact that it doesn't fix my broken account as the reason. I have all of this in writing since I copied our chat.
***For transparency, the supervisor did finally give me the case number when I said I was done and would be following up in writing (implying a formal complaint).

He also kept pushing me to "wait" a few days, when I've been dealing with this since last week. He was the 4th agent I'd spoken to. There's no reason to suggest waiting unless someone is trying to close the case.

Edit:
I was trying to make a purchase and getting stuck on a screen that says "Looks like you already have an account. Please sign in to your Affirm account with the phone number (xxx) xxx-XXXX." I was confirmed already signed in on that phone number, and they confirmed it's my only account.

The only things on the screen are "Update phone number," "Go back," & a hamburger menu that gave me a sign out option or takes me to the help screen.
- Attempting sign out returns an error message each time and does not sign me out.
- The phone number stated is already the correct phone number, and trying to change it to the same correct phone number gets an error message.
- I changed my account phone number to someone else's at Affirm's instructions. This is a security risk since someone else ended up with my verification code by design. This didn't work so I of course changed it back immediately.
Tried lot's of other things, but that's the gist of it. I run into a wall.

Nothing was resolved since my option was to continue "troubleshooting" with him after literally 4 hours of dealing with them just today, and the troubleshooting I was repeatedly instructed to do was things I listed as already tried. He refused to escalate the issue, so I have still gotten nowhere.

Credit report

I just noticed my 2 affirm accounts have shown up on my credit report. Both are in good standing (I’m paid ahead by a month)

It says they have zero impact on my credit report. As a person who is rebuilding my credit post divorce, is there a way I can make those accounts count?

Affirm convinced me to deposit my entire paycheck to boost my buying power — I feel completely misled

Has anyone else had this happen with Affirm?
Affirm promotes depositing your paycheck/direct deposit into their app as something that can potentially increase or boost your purchasing power. Based on that, I transferred my entire paycheck of almost $1,300 into my Affirm Money Account.
I genuinely believed having my income deposited directly with Affirm would help increase the amount I could use through Affirm.
Well, I deposited the money and did not get the increase in purchasing power I was led to expect. Now I have nearly $1,300 of my paycheck sitting within Affirm’s ecosystem, and I’m limited in how I can use it.
I understand that Affirm can say purchasing power isn’t guaranteed and approvals depend on different factors. But that’s exactly what bothers me. If depositing your paycheck doesn’t necessarily result in any meaningful increase, why advertise depositing your income as a way to potentially boost your purchasing power?
I would never have transferred my entire paycheck to Affirm if I hadn’t been shown that messaging.
To me, there’s a major difference between saying:
“Deposit your paycheck with us.”
and essentially advertising:
“Depositing your paycheck could help boost your purchasing power.”
The second statement gives people an incentive to move their actual income into the account.
I’m documenting everything, including the language Affirm showed me, my deposit, purchasing power before/after, and my conversations with support.
Has anyone else deposited their paycheck with Affirm because of the purchasing-power messaging? Did your buying power actually increase?
I’m also wondering whether anyone has filed a CFPB complaint or spoken with a consumer-protection attorney over something similar.

Good Riddance!!

Not going to make some drawn out post. Been using Affirm since I first got introduced (it’s been years lol). Started off with small purchases here and there that eventually snowballed into large debt. Highest balance I carried was over $2K. I would pay it down and then add more purchases. I always paid on time, and enjoyed the benefit of the monthly BNPL cause why not 🤷🏽‍♀️. This is my first time seeing a $0 balance, and I am glad to leave these mfs where they at lol. I can care less if they reduce my spending limit.

I’m no longer a slave. 🙂‍↔️

It was good while it lasted

I figured this wouldn't last forever, but still a bummer to receive this email. I used my cash back card with Affirm to double dip on cash back and 0% APR payment plans. I've been able to earn at least couple thousand in money markets with the cash I didn't have to pay "upfront" on purchases, and I never paid any interest. Which undoubtedly made me a giant money hole for Affirm lmao. Anyway.

Returns

I made a $108 purchase from Amazon using affirm, I just returned a $45 item to Amazon.
How will affirm handle the return?
I’m very new to all of this.
