Do grades matter to aku?

Does aku actually care abt grades in mbbs admission or do they just want above the minimum of Bs? Like overall in the application how much do they care about grades. Also I was predicted 4A* but I got 4A and 1B, is that fine or am I cooked?

Did my Alevels ruin my chances?

hello so Alevels was so bad this year and I just wanna know how bad I have sabotaged myself and how much I need for mdcat now. so I need at lest 90% overall that my goal, now I have 5A*4As in my olevel and the ibcc equivalent certificate converted it into 994/1100, 90.36%. now in Alevels I got 1B in chem n a C in bio n phy. my As are only in bio chem math n phy in olevel. what will be the alevel aggregate? with the formula I know for Alevels is that they take these 3 alevel subs and then they will take bio chem phy math eng Urdu Islamist and Pak studies from olevels. please tell me what u think my Alevels percentage will be? I don’t want to go through Alevels again honestly it was such a messed up session this year but I just can’t belive ky I lost already

Does AKU testing center in Islamabad have any facility yo submit your mobile phone ?

As I am coning from out of city to take the test , I don't have viable option to leave my phone at , before going to the test center. The Admit card strictly mentions no mobile phones at the testing center. Does anybody have any information on this ?

i need advice

whatever i say,i really don't want to offend someone,i js want genuine advice

i am an As student,my subjects are chem phy and bio.

it's just that im under alot of pressure of my parents and relatives expectations.Basically all of you know how tough medical is in pakistan and the competition is insane.i have to aim for 3A's in As and 3A*s in A2 if i want to get in unis like aga khan or even get a good equivalency to get in unis like dow.I still haven't gotten my olevels results which i think is going to be 6A*s 2A od 5A*3As which is already super bad.The thing is,im very scared.i am seeing the alevel results these years and im so scared that if i don't get all A*s,i can't get into good med unis.I don't even think it's possible for me.I mean my cousin, she is super smart and way way smarter than me and even she got AAB (im not saying its bad)but since she is in the cs/engineering field, those grades didn't affect her as much it's gonna affect me if i wanna apply to med unis becuase evn a slight up and down is gonna affect ny equivalency and my chances of getting into a good uni.Plus i have to give mdcat which is based on inter and fsc syllabus so i have to focus on alevel caies along with learning fsc syllabus.I really don't think i can handle it.Plus,i have hearf that ibcc already cuts some marks from ur percentage so that's a downside.

i am thinking to switch fields,i mean i still have time.i could always go to maths phy and chem because i really do prefer maths over bio anytime but my mom would disapprove bec she obv wants me to become a doctor.

maybe i am js overthinking this, buf if any med student coukd give me advice or guide me on what to do and if it is really this hard for alevel students,it would be a great help!!

A-Level results submission for AKU application

Hey everyone,

I had a quick question regarding the Agha Khan University (AKU) application process for A-Level students.

Do we only upload our AS-Level results at the time of applying, or do we submit the complete A2 results once they are released? If anyone who has already gone through the application process could clarify how the timeline and transcript submission work, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

is BBB good for (priv)medicine in Pakistan

honestly, I expected an ABB and not BBB so its really disappointing. i took chem bio phy by the way.

I already had 2 Bs before, and i had 1 C. i took a whole gap year just to fix that C, but i ended up getting a B. An A or A* would've made my profile look nice. last year i was already crying. theres something wrong with the way cambridge grades things.

Is it possible to get a scholarship abroad? i swear my 3 B's make me look academically weak am i being over paranoid or is it true.....

My o level results were okay-ish i had a few A's and a few A* and 1 D. my o level score and a level score combined is like 81% in total....

Im just so disappointed in myself. i dont know what to do. anyone in the same shoes as me? i honestly need reassurance. thanks.

Is this the end? (As level results)

My AS exams went really well and i was expecting 2As and 1B. But i got really bad grades today. Regardless of the fact that the result is doubtful. What am i supposed to do now?????

Have all the med school options closed for me. Should I appear for FSC simultaneously or retake all the exams? I am genuinely so devastated. I dont have proper guidance from anyone. I do not know what to do

HOW DOES THE AKU SELECTION PROCESS WORKS??

is it that after passing the test only ECAs and Interview matters? your O and A levels grades your MDCAT are they not considered cuz on their website there are no specific weightages given for specific things so i have no idea and if thats the case upon what kind of interview and ECAs should i feel hopeful about getting in??? one more thing do u guys know any one who did not have much ECAs but have excellent grades?
