Just denied a 3hr route at DXS1 which was 41 parcels sending me all the way to NOTTINGHAM about 26miles/45mins away all for a whopping £54, yeah I dont know how they plan these routes out but they're taking it too far now.
What insurance does everyone use?
I signed up as pay as you go with Zego and the amounts seem off. Charging me an extra hour after my shift finished.
Secondly I have 2 charges for shifts I never did or ever was scheduled to do? Tried the live chat but seems heavy AI. Is this common with everyone else?
The late delivery is impossible because I finished 50 minutes before the end time (I provided evidence) They even check themselves on their own records and they confirmed I finished early
The second one I completed all my deliveries no returns
I contacted Amazon and they said this won't affect your overall standing don't know how much of that is true ?
I’ve been doing flex for a few years and never had a late delivery issue. But just this year I’ve had around 15 put onto my standings. Most drop off or support removes them, but just got another round of 10 added from 4 days of blocks I did.
I only do morning blocks so I have until 11.15am to finish and on the itinerary the delivery window is 7am to 1pm. Not had any priority stops as I check before I leave the depot.
Emailed general support but got the usual “our original decision has not changed” reply so I’m stuck with these false late deliveries on my standing with the chance I’ll get more putting my account at risk.
I’m at achieving standards currently but it’s frustrating.
I‘ve read others sharing similar issues so Is it a glitch?
For those doing side gigs / self-employed work in the UK do you actually end up paying much tax on your earnings?
For example, if you make around £10,000–£15,000 a year from delivery work or another side income, how much tax do you normally end up paying after claiming legitimate business expenses?
Are there legal ways to reduce the taxable profit significantly through mileage, fuel, insurance, phone costs, vehicle expenses, equipment, etc.?
Just trying to understand how people manage their tax efficiently and legally rather than losing a big chunk of their hard-earned side income.

Picked up a route to a depot which is around 70 mins away from home as local depot slots get picked up like crazy and was looking to get some work.
Was decent hour rate and 4 hour route, so picked up the shift. Reached at depot and was handed a long mileage route, Oka fine.
All heavy over 10 kg parcels and returns from either morning shift or previous day but most were business deliveries and because I was starting at 1800 hrs, I told depot staff to remove very heavy and business packages as businesses are closed. (Checked addresses on google for closing time)
Depot staff removed parcels, and I went on route. 1st delivery 40 mins and 40 miles away.
Completed all parcels and saw 4 parcels left in car but route was complete and app was not showing any returns. My best guess that depot staff removed more than required parcels.
Now to return to depot and go back home was showing me 2 hours more. Took parcels with me for now as I was not willing to drive for another 2 hours when it was already 10pm. What should I do? Should I keep parcels or donate or keep with me until next time I pick up shift at this depot which could be weeks or days away. What would you do?
I don’t want to keep it, but I don’t want to drive 2 hours without getting payed because someone messed up at depot.

I haven’t missed a delivery since I started, I’m vigilant with all packages, always take photos when required to and wouldn’t take something for myself either. Interested to see what effect this will have on my standing as I cannot see it on the dashboard currently. Has anyone received anything similar? Is it a “3 strikes and you’re out” kinda gig?

I’ve noticed a lot of people on here thought I was crazy for driving an hour away to pick up a route. I live in Birmingham and it’s pretty hard picking up blocks in the city due to the bots, so I’ve resorted to driving further away to pick up blocks . What’s the most you lot would consider driving to a pick up?
