I made this fanart a while back and a story for it too:
A mysterious force erupted, distorting time and twisting landscapes. Sonic, tails, and the others are ripped into the sky, and vanish without a trace .
Amy is left behind, and she starts having visions of ancient ancestors saying only Amy can defeat the cosmic monster
I want this game to be an adventure platformer game that makes use of her hammer, but it is now equipped with mystical powers. She also somehow uses the tarot cards to progress through the game.
Eggman goofy scheming is also the reason the world is being ripped apart

I feel like the story book games were an idea that were cast away far too soon. In part because of their Wii exclusive nature, however are things I see with great potential!

This is because they are very self contained stories, and so aren’t beholden to as many things or factors, allowing for a focus on the characters

And I think having it be used to focus on side characters would be super cool, as it allows them to have the spotlight without having major consequences to consider, and instead just focus on them and their character

For Amy, I feel like it’s obvious, but her story book would be based on Romeo and Juliet, and show her fighting for a love in a world that seeks to tear it apart, and as the story goes on…fight a love that seeks to tear the world apart in return.

Forcing her to fight on two fronts, seeking to help both sides, without letting either destroy what matters.

The gameplay itself being a fun blend of basically standard sonic and werehog, Amy not being as fast, and plenty of focus on platforming and combat for her acrobatic skills, and to show off her hammer as she moves through the city of Verona, and the many threats to her mission.

I think it would be fun, and fitting of Amy to allow her to fight for such a cause, and just give her more love.

(She would also get a new form when at the end must fight Romeo and Juliet to save the world…)

This comic was drawn based on the idea: "What if it was Amy who brought Sonic back to life?"

Amy has canon lore tied to tarot cards and fortune-telling, so if Sonic were to die, I feel like she’d try anything—occult rituals, fortune-telling… as long as there was even the slightest chance.
