An update on Pal Home
Hey all,
Following the feedback on the Pal Home feature, we’ve decided not to move forward with the feature and it won’t be shipping.
The thread got a bit heated and I got defensive in some of my replies, which I apologise for. I took the concerns people raised on board and after giving it some thought, shelving Pal Home is the right call.
Out of respect for Christian, we also won’t be developing further in this particular area of Apollo while Pixel Pals is something he’s actively shipping and supporting.
The intention was genuinely just to build something fun on top of a part of Apollo I’ve always enjoyed. It clearly landed differently than I expected, and I don’t want a side project like this creating unnecessary tension or risk around Reborn.
We’ve still got plenty to focus on elsewhere, including iPad work, Duo support, and eventually the Mac client, so there’s no shortage of things ahead :)
