TestFlight

Hi all Josh here,

I've got a quick update the progress on brink is going really well, in between studying and life I've made significant progress. I'm still making final improvements to the functionality as well as the user interface and user experience.

I've taken a lot on board from internal testers and now it's time to let external testers try it out.

Cognote - local-first AI Notes System

Hey everyone,

I’ve been building Cognote, an iOS app focused on private, on-device transcription and knowledge synthesis. My goal is to keep the entire pipeline local—no cloud, no API calls for the core reasoning—to ensure complete privacy while still delivering a fast, useful AI assistant.

I’m currently in the TestFlight phase and am looking for feedback from developers and power users who care about privacy and on-device performance.

What I’m specifically looking to validate right now:

* Inference Performance: How is the model holding up for you during real-time transcription? Any issues with RAM management or device heat on older vs. newer models?

* UI/UX: I’m aiming for a 'Liquid Glass' aesthetic with fluid, organic animations. Does the interface feel responsive, or does it feel like the heavy AI lifting is causing UI jank?

* Privacy Workflow: Does the 'local-only' setup feel transparent and intuitive?

Tech Stack: Swift, SwiftUI, Core ML (local LLM inference).

I’m really looking for candid, actionable feedback—if you find a bug, break it, or see a way the architecture could be cleaner, please let me know. I'm all ears.
