TESTFLIGHT - Home Glass - Make your home controls look good - works with Home Assistant, Apple Toolkit, Hue, Switchbot and Samsung Smarthings

Hi everyone!

I worked an app for all platforms to make our connected home devices look a bit better than the home assitant app and native to Vision Pro.

It also works on all other platforms including the upcoming Duo taking advantage of the new screens design.

If anyone wants to test it just reply here and as soon as Apple approve the builds I will share the link with you since I could only test It on my home. I am not forcing anyone to do it so just let me know if you could like to test it.

It works with home assitant, all Apple HomeKit including matter devices linked to it, Samsung Smarthub, Philips Hue, Switchbot and Philips Hue for now.

Looking forward to any feedback so that I can correct bugs.

Just fyi because I expect some comments, while I am learning to code myself at the moment, this app its mostly vibe coded but took me many hours to get it to a place that works and that I like.

Anyway just let me know and any set ups for your home, big or small works.

Cheers.

Phone Remote - code files and unsigned IPAs/DMGs are free on GitHub. Control and swipe your iPhone from Apple Vision Pro or Mac (video)

Hi,

As I said in my previous post, I'm sharing Phone Remote, completely free, for anyone who wants it. It shows your iPhone's screen in a window on Apple Vision Pro and/or on a Mac, and lets you control it from there. not just mirror. The video shows what it does and how it works.

👉 GitHub: https://github.com/Whatevernumberyouwant2255

It's on GitHub, as suggested, so anyone can read the code before installing anything. You'll find the full Xcode project, the unsigned IPAs for iPhone and Vision Pro, the Mac app, and step-by-step instructions. No donations, no payments, nothing. Just free.

What it does

  • Your iPhone's live screen in a phone-shaped window that rotates with the phone
  • Vision Pro: pinch to tap, drag to swipe, Home button under the phone
  • Mac: click, drag, trackpad scrolling, typing, ⌘1 Home
  • One iPhone app for both: it mirrors to whichever device has Phone Remote open
  • A direct connection between the two devices over your home Wi-Fi, encrypted with a pairing code. No Mac in between, no cloud, no account, no data collected
  • Keeps the iPhone awake while you control it

What you need

  • Just mirroring: sideload the IPAs yourself (AltStore, SideStore, Sideloadly, or Xcode) and use the Mac app. Nothing is signed: you sign it with your own Apple ID or developer team.
  • Controlling the iPhone: a Mac with Xcode is required. Control relies on DeviceKit, an Xcode testing tool that the Mac starts on your iPhone. The Mac app launches it for you once Xcode is installed.

Honest limits: there's still some lag when controlling. It mostly comes from how the control tool works (a gesture is replayed after you release it), so taps and swipes land a moment later, but it's very usable. It could be improved, and anyone is welcome to try.

Mac users in Europe: Apple's iPhone Mirroring still isn't available here, which is part of why I built this. I've also heard that the latest Xcode may offer an official way to control an iPhone from a Mac. I haven't tried it, but if you'd prefer an Apple tool, that might be the safer option for you.

Please read: it's was a personal project, shared as is, without warranty. I'm not responsible for bugs or problems it might cause. Check the code, build it from source if you prefer (checksums are included for the release files), or don't use it at all. Your call. I just think the community, and especially people in the EU, deserved something like this.

Enjoy!

Phone control from Apple Vision Pro and Mac. Would anyone want the IPAs on GitHub?

Hi everyone,

Over the past weeks I've built Phone Remote, a small app that shows my iPhone's screen in a floating window on Apple Vision Pro, or in a window on my Mac, and lets me use it from there.

What it does:

  • Live iPhone screen in a phone-shaped window that turns when you rotate the phone.
  • On Vision Pro: look and pinch to tap, pinch and drag to swipe, with a Home button under the phone.
  • On Mac: click, drag, scroll with the trackpad, type with the Mac keyboard, ⌘1 for Home.
  • Direct connection over your home Wi-Fi, encrypted with a pairing code. No cloud, no account, nothing collected.
  • The iPhone stays awake while you're using it remotely.

What's honestly required:

  • Mirroring only needs the app on the iPhone and on the Vision Pro or Mac.
  • Controlling the iPhone (taps, swipes, typing) needs a Mac with Xcode for a one-time setup each session.
  • It isn't on the App Store and it isn't made by Apple. It's a personal project.

It can't go through the App Store or TestFlight, because controlling the iPhone relies on Apple's developer testing tools, which Apple doesn't allow in distributed apps. A mirroring-only version could pass review, but without control it would lose what makes the app useful, so I'd rather share it as open source and IPAs on any alternative SAFE platform. (which one? Github? other?).

To be clear, I'm not asking or pushing anyone to use it. I wanted this for a long time, and people seemed interested in my previous posts, so I'm simply offering it. It's provided as is: I can't be held responsible for bugs or any problems it might cause. The code will be open for anyone to read, and if you'd feel safer building something like this yourself with a good AI coding tool, I completely understand.

My question: would anyone be interested if I published it on GitHub, both as open source and as unsigned IPAs you can sideload with AltStore, Sideloadly or similar? Cleaning it up and writing proper install instructions takes time, so I'll only do it if enough people are interested. If so, I'll post the link here.

It will be completely free. I'll add a donation link for anyone who'd like to support it, with absolutely no obligation to donate.

Would you use it on Vision Pro, on Mac, or both? And what would you want it to do that it doesn't yet?

Proof of concept: iPhone mirroring with controls working on Apple Vision Pro

I’ve wanted proper iPhone mirroring with controls on Apple Vision Pro for a long time, so I tried building a small proof of concept myself.

This will for sure annoy some people, but with some “vibe coding” and help from ChatGPT/Codex, I had a usable version running in under two hours. I’m not claiming any great engineering achievement—I simply wanted to show that it is possible.

The app streams my iPhone screen into a native visionOS window and lets me control it from the Vision Pro using taps, swipes and text input. It works over a shared Wi‑Fi network or when the Vision Pro connects directly to the iPhone’s Personal Hotspot, which has actually felt even smoother.

There is still a very little latency and room for improvement, but the quality and responsiveness are already surprisingly good.

Unfortunately, I can’t distribute it because the control system relies on Apple developer automation capabilities that wouldn’t be allowed in a normal App Store app. Still, if anyone was wondering whether controlled iPhone mirroring on AVP is technically possible: it is.

3D movies on Apple Vision Pro like Moon Plyer

Hi Infuse team,
First of all, thank you for building such an amazing app. Infuse is, without question, my favorite media library application, and the one I use to organize all of my movies.

That said, there’s one reason I often end up using Moon Player instead of Infuse on my Apple Vision Pro.

Are there any plans to add support for:
Native playback of 3D movies directly from network libraries (SMB, WebDAV, FTP, Jellyfin, Plex, etc.)?
Real-time 2D-to-3D conversion, similar to what Moon Player offers?

Moon Player’s AI 2D-to-3D conversion works surprisingly well, and being able to watch 3D movies directly from my media server is a huge advantage.

I genuinely find it surprising that Infuse—arguably the most polished and feature-rich media player available—is still missing these capabilities. Everything else about Infuse is so far ahead of the competition that I would love to make it my only video player on Vision Pro.

Are these features on your roadmap? I know many Apple Vision Pro users would love to see them.
Thanks again for all your incredible work!
