A pattern is happening.

Things have changed and no one understands. This goes to show just what some in DC have thought about Aquaman. I made a post on Quora about how strong he is but it's meaningless when you're around Superman, how powerful his telepathy is but most still think of Martian Manhunter when it comes to that, how fast he is underwater and once you remove the trillion of tons of water and 13.5 tons per square inch on his body at the deepest part of his kingdom he's even faster, but with flash on the team his speed is moot. He's unique but lost in the weeds on the Justice League and none of them see Aquaman... But now they do and they are astounded as they should be and hopefully this will open the eyes for the editorial team, the characters, and the Justice League team as this is not the Superfriends Aquaman or even the Rebirth Aquaman, but hopefully a new Aquaman who will always be the Avatar of the Blue.

Good Beginning Book that’s a bit more recent?

Hello, im a big marvel fan who is somewhat dissatisfied with most Marvel lines at the moment (Except you Jed McKay and Al Ewing, keep going strong). I’m trying to get into DC, and I want to know what a good run for getting into Aquaman would be? Any suggestions?

Absolute Aquaman

Apologies if i sound repetitive, as this is my first post, but what do you think about the idea of an Absolute Aquaman? Given that we’ve seen references to (and the relative importance of) Atlantis in one of the Wonder Woman story arcs, and considering Scott Snyder himself has shown great interest in the concept, what do you think this new version of Arthur will be like, or what would you like it to be?

I was reading the DC and Marvel crossover stories like Superman and Spiderman and I got to thinking. In this universe where all the Marvel and DC characters all just coexist together, how would Aquaman and Namor Split territory over the Ocean?

It’s actually been something I’ve been wondering. Like do they each take over two oceans then split the Atlantic?

Picked up Aquaman: Maelstrom the other day

I’m by no means a stranger to Aquaman, I’ve got a lot of love and respect for the character and know an alright amount of the basic lore and have checked some of his comics out before here and there but I think this is the first real time I’m checking out a full Aquaman trade, looking forward to reading through it

Made a video essay on Aquaman 2018 in case anyone is interested

Made a YouTube video called "The Bizarre Legacy of Aquaman", talking about Aquaman 2018 overall, how it managed to make over a billion dollars and become the highest grossing DC film to this day, and the future of DC movies and why they seem to struggle. Hope you enjoy!

[Comic Excerpt] (Emperor Aquaman #20)

What's worse than being beaten unconscious or killed? Admitting defeat before it can happen. What's even more important and impressive is that Poseidon knows what's about to happen because unlike some he hasn't forgotten about Darkseid and his Absolute Crisis. As a Aquaman fan for decades, I am loving what Jeremy Adams is doing and just hope that Aquaman Avatar of the Blue keeps this power and joins the team of Swamp Thing Avatar of the Green and Animal Girl Avatar of the Red.

Emperor Aquaman #20 spoilers!

I wanted to share my thoughts for anyone curious, given I’ve been working long hours and haven’t been online much

But to keep things short this by far is my favorite issue of Jeremy Adams Aquaman run so far.

What really stood out to me.

1.) It was nice to see him come back to previous mentioned aspects of his own run and Arthur’s overall lore/history

Seeing some action with Thalassa was needed and seeing it match and clash with Poseidon’s trident was really cool.

Seeing Poseidon’s trident was still in the possession of the Aquaman family up until Poseidon took it back was a really nice attention to detail by Adams and I really loved the fact Mera has been using it. For anyone wondering Arthur got the trident from Poseidon on multiple occasions once during the Post-Crisis era after defeating Triton, another time he borrowed it during the DCYou Exiled arc to destroy Thule, and the final time it was given to him to keep by Poseidon during the Justice League event Drowned Earth. So Atlantis being in possession of the trident of Poseidon was a really cool lore point. The added aspect of Vivienne being responsible for crafting Poseidon’s trident which was something stated earlier in Adams run.

There’s also the point Adams didn’t obviously have any need to nerf Poseidon in this fight, and he addressed the possible common elephant in the room for probably most battles involving haxxed characters like Aquaman with the fact Arthur stated he couldn’t do the internal hydrokinesis stuff to Poseidon based off his physiology. I’m really enjoying the fact that there are limitations to the powers Arthur has and the writer is showing there are still forces that can challenge Aquaman. It’s also a really great showing for Poseidon in matchups against other characters who have similar hax abilities

2.) I got extremely excited to see Aquaman use his telepathy to call sea life in to help assist him. It’s his most iconic ability and it’s good to see it’s not forgotten. I love how it was something he even fell back on as something he saw as his ace.

3.) I previously mentioned on the preview post I was worried about Arion jobbing and this issue alleviated that concern for me. I think Arion and Garth acting as defense for Atlantis and the Lighthouses is my preferred usage in this case and it was a good subtle feat for Arion while also being a really good feat for the clash between Arthur and Poseidon

4.) The way the fight was done overall was extremely entertaining as well. I liked the fact Arthur was shown to offensively use portals to shift the battle location as needed. It kind of negates any idea that it’s a slow process on Aquaman’s end doing so.

I think the outcome not being necessarily a defeat of Poseidon being knocked out or killed. But instead yielding was definitely my preferred outcome for this clash as well.

Overall this was easily the best issue so far in my opinion. It read smoothly in terms of pacing, the action was superb, the attention to lore/history was great.

Really looking forward to Tidal War!

Would love to hear other thoughts on today’s issue

Poseidon afraid?

Poseidon knows about Darkseid, but what else does he know about and if it's connected to his Rogues Gallery then this could be more epic than the Poseidon battle.

Which Aquaman suit texture is your favourite?

Which texture do you like the most on an Aquaman suit?

Personally, nothing beats the original scale design. Every time they try to invent something new, it ends up being worse imo. And shirtless designs are just boring to me.
