Fishing lake pleasant from shore for catfish

Where should I go and what should I be using? Last 2 times I was there I went to the castle creek boat ramp area and caught a catfish and a carp the first time, then nothing the second time. I was using chicken liver but I’m thinking about grabbing some frozen anchovies for next time. I’m mostly wondering where the best spots are from shore

Went trout fishing up at Lynx Lake

Beautiful trout up in Lynx Lake this past week on a white rooster tail. Caught another after this on a UV panther spinner.

Trying to dive back in

Finally gonna dust off the old rod and get back out on the water this summer. Been a year or two since I’ve fished, life’s just been getting in the way. Planning on hitting Havasu and making a few runs up the Colorado around Bullhead.

Any local angler groups worth joining to shake off the old rust, or anyone got recommendations on what to throw out here? Most of my freshwater experience has always been plastics, generally speaking worms and soft swimbaits, but I know every stretch of water fishes a little different. Wondering if waters are still producing around here, or is there some secret sauce I need to know about?

Northern Arizona Recommendations: Tenkara/ Fly fishing

I will be Bikepacking northern AZ (Sedona, Page, Williams, Flagstaff, Kingman, Prescott) in the next month. I will be riding around all over northern AZ for about 2ish months. My main objective is to find great fishing locations. I originally posted this on r/Tenkara and didn't get anything really helpful. I know about Trout Routes, and FishBrain but wanted to open source this to a wider community to find the best places. Apps are cool and all but I don't rely on them especially in the back country. If you have any legendary spots please let me know. I am mostly looking for good fly fishing spots with minimal wading think small creeks and rivers. The picture is my core fishing kit minus my line and flies.

Woods Canyon Lake

I'm thinking of heading up to WCL(Wood Canyon Lake) this week or next week for some fishing. I'll try to be up there by 7 or 8 in the morning.I'm not picky on what I catch but what are some tips and suggestions you have for me as someone who havent been out that way yet and still a beginner. I dont plan on renting a boat so I'll be fishing from the shore.

Best all-around bass baitcaster for srp canals and lower salt river bank fishing.

I recently moved to Arizona and I’m thinking about getting a nicer new bass setup.

Right now, I have a medium Daiwa Aird X spinning rod with a Daiwa Crossfire reel that was given to me and I mostly throw Keitech paddle tails, Senkos and jerkbaits on it.

I’m looking for an all-around baitcaster that I can use as my main setup for SRP canals and the Lower Salt River. Something that can throw a good variety of lures and still handle some of the lighter stuff I usually throw on spinning gear.

I’ve been looking at pairing a Daiwa Tatula XT rod with a Tatula SV TW reel, but I’m not sure whether to go Medium or Medium Heavy, or whether the 70 or 100 reel size would be better. I’ve heard that keeping lure profiles on the smaller side is pretty important in Arizona, so I’d really appreciate some help choosing the right setup. If there’s a better setup you’d recommend, I’d love to hear it!!
