I used imgur and the quality was perfect, but my friend over in the UK couldn't see the images, it just said "Content not viewable in your region". I then tried to post them on Tumblr, which helped because he could see them, but now the quality is pretty bad. Does anyone have any advice for other platforms to use/fixes?
I'm planning to add my Land of The Lustrous OCs alongside my standalone ones since I also enjoy drawing them. Basically they are humanoid beings made of gem.
I wonder if artists generally avoid fandom OCs if they don't know the source material, or if a cool design is enough to make you want to attack them anyway?
I'm talking about people who only use references of their characters made by other people. I've had a couple instances lately where I see a cool character design and then i look down and notice it was designed by someone other than the artist and i instantly lose interest.
I kind of get it cause you want your character to look really good so you get attacked a lot. But I also personally want to see your own style and your own designs and it almost feels like getting catfished when I see a really cool design I want to attack but it turns the owner has a completely different artstyle. Y'all feel me on this or am I crazy?
edit: I posted this last night when I was really tired and it came across as harsh to some people. I’m not trying to hate on those who feel like they’re unskilled or those who commission/adopt ocs. To me, artfight is about celebrating people’s unique styles and I really just want to see everyone thrive and grow in their personal ability.
So I’ve been giving my OCs little chibi versions for AF thumbnails with real pictures behind them. Do you all think this may dissuade people from investigating further? I worry people might look at the smol version and think “not my kind of art/character” and keep scrolling without seeing that there are other versions examples above / AF below

I've kind of read up on how to make text and images accessible, but I always think I'll be missing something.
Is there anything I should keep in mind when it comes to accessibility in profiles? So far, all I do have is...a lack of strobing lights of course, and a plain text version of the decals on my profile. There's probably more, I'd just like general reccs hehem
