I think the reason for the ban is that my global character permissions allow NSFW and suggestive artwork and i didnt think its necessary to explicitly disable those permissions on my minor characters, cause any NSFW of them would already be prohibited by art fights rules, which are far more important than an users character permissions.
Also i have a character that has "no canon age" but i didnt specify that i meant theyre any age over 18.
I was so excited for this years artfight and now i cant even submit all the finished pieces i lost sleep for.
By the time they even view my appeal artfight will propably be over.
And they made a typo in the ban lol.
Hello!! I hope everyone is having a happy Artfight so far!
I am facing a bit of a dilemma, I am an artist that really likes to use Artfight to experience different mediums and use this time as a "study" period, but this has led to me developing all my attacks in significantly different styles lol. If you were to choose, which "medium" of art would you prefer to be attacked with out of all of these?

I made this form in part to bring some attention to my dear girlfriend's account, Aethaeon. She gets so excited for artfight and she was so proud of her profile. She got an attack recently and it made her really happy.

the first drawing is my own character as an example of my usual style ! i'm looking for characters to attack.
for the second slide, i finished my first art fight attack! the character is Jean by voicedbychrispratt. her color scheme is a lot darker than what i usually work with so it was kinda new for me but i had fun trying it out :D

First time this has happened in my 5 years of ArtFight, so I'm a bit baffled so bare with me
I draw all of my male OCs with a distinctive lash style, sharp chest lines (in an out than in sharp single line to designate ribs and imply some pecs), and long hair, occasionally with a fuller set of lips (this OC has that trait). I can very easily see how someone would see my OCs and go "yep, woman" so I make sure all of my OCs have their gender stated within the first line or so of description, usually "Name, he/him, height"
Today I go to check my account and I have a new attack and it's one of my guys but drawn as a woman with a comment from the artist on how fun "she" was to draw and I just... I don't know how to respond?
On one hand I'm fairly upset, for what I consider obvious reasons. On the other hand, I'd feel awful to correct because it's a fullbody drawing and idk how much work it would be for them to remove the chest they gave him...
The only other time something like this has happened was when a friend of mine drew a different OC of mine as a woman but they only had a reference image and no context. So I know exactly what it is in my art that led to the confusion so there's the additional "my reference led to this" that makes me feel... worse when I want to correct them.
Should I just... thank them for the art and move on? It's fantastic art, my OC just *isn't* a woman.
Edit/Update(?): Thanks for all the comments and suggestions on what to do! I've gone ahead and decided to just leave it be, the longer I sat with it the less it upset me because, as many people here pointed out, it's most likely an honest mistake and those happen. I thanked the artist, and complimented parts of the art I really do like without addressing the gender. I'll be marking my references more throughly moving forward to hopefully prevent it from happening again/make it easier for others to read the character

I'll try to do as many revenges as possible while primarliy focusing on drawing characters that inspire me. Drawing most stuff although I'm most comfortable with animals and creatures first and humans second.

What do you do if people ignore your permissions (both global and individual) and do something with your character you don’t like?
I have a simple shaped character that I leave up for people to draw if they don’t want to draw my other characters. He’s a two legged fish that takes like 5 seconds to draw. After 2025 artfight I added a rule to all my ocs saying to not do “mass attacks with other users” in global perms and in his individual perms I added the same thing but in bigger text, underlined, and red.
Somehow this rule has already been broken by a recent mass attack I got, I ended up saying my thanks and then blocking them 😭 I know some people have other stricter perms they list but what do you do if people break them?
