New burger place next to Market of Choice

Anyone know anything about it? I saw the sign yesterday and didn’t have time to go check it out. We need a great burger place since Pumphouse in Talent closed. They had the best burgers and fries on this side of the valley

Stranded in Ashland, OR

My phone is on low battery and I’m beginning to slightly panic 🙈 It would be everything if 10 or 15 in gas so that I can get to a more populated area to do Uber and on my way back to Portland!

Hi,
we’re four guys, and we’ve put together Westminster’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota. The concept is simple: you see two places side by side (for example Famille vs. Kachina Southwestern Grill), you choose the place you’d rather go to, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the more accurate the list gets over time. There are still a few duplicates here and there, but I’m continuously cleaning up the data.

Here’s the iPhone version, with categories that actually fit Westminster’s food scene:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota-restaurant-ratings/id6744969212

And here’s the Android version (finally live):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app

P.S. I’m not from Westminster (I live in Gothenburg). I’m not collecting data, not selling anything, and the app does not use AI-generated content. I’m posting in a few different subreddits because we now support more regions, and I genuinely want honest feedback from people who actually know the area.

Croatian, Serbian or Montenegrin speakers in the area?

I'm heading out that way this summer and would like to practice the language if any native speakers are interested in meeting up? I'm just starting so it would be very basic.

RV parks for short-term stay?

Relatives (65+yo) are coming to Ashland in August, on their first RV adventure. They need a place to stop for a couple of nights. They likely want quiet, not after-dark partying.

Any recommendations?

Seeking help with a LOT of clothing to donate

Hi! I’m disabled, live upstairs, and can’t drive and have 3-5 trash bags full of clean clothes to donate to anywhere that can use them. Mostly women’s size small-medium and some men’s size small-medium. I’m sure a few pieces could be consigned or resold. Would anyone be willing to come pick them for free? I can leave them in the outside stairwell so nobody would have to come inside or even make contact at all if preferred! (: I’m almost literally drowning in unused clothing and would prefer they go directly where they could’ve used as opposed to goodwill (and where the person who got them to begin with purchased them) but frankly if they’re out of my hair I don’t mind either way.

SOU

Honestly, I applied to go to SOU but after doing research and talking with staff and students I have known for a while. I am not so sure. They seem to act very caring and supportive. However, they messed up their own finances letting departments overspend consistently and still are even with a 1k budget put in place. They’re using loopholes to still get around the budget. Instead of strengthening these budgets or creating a plan for everyone to survive- on top of all this, they’re trying to get the union to sign a 0% increase in pay for FOUR YEARS. That’s insane, especially with cost of living rising, food costs, gas… The morals are insanely skewed. Why are the making the people at the bottom, who ultimately keep the school running, barely scraping by? Student workers are also affected by this and aren’t getting pay increases- how are they supposed to eat food, pay rent, and pay tuition bills? Along with that there’s several workers who aren’t held accountable for never showing up to work and lying about why. It’s an odd system they have in place. It’s a failing system. I think I’m going to go to another college instead. It sounds like a lot of others I know are as well. I don’t think they’re going to come out of this because, they aren’t actually listening to anyone. Maybe that’s just me? What do you all think?

Completely forgot to add; I’m a Business major with an Art minor.

Southern Oregon Regional Risk Assessment

I’m a long-time local who writes risk assessments and sector reports for Green Econometrics, a Pennsylvania consulting firm. So I wrote one for Southern Oregon to share here. Nothing we don’t all know and most are aware of the individual issues cited…but I thought I’d aggregate the information, organize it, and highlight the potential ramifications. So this is not an attempt to break new ground, it’s just intended to bring issues we’re facing into a single doc to stimulate discussion. Note: my firm integrates Claude 4.7 into our process to support our directed research, to create charts and graphs, and to format output. Content design, development and editorial direction by humans with full audits for accuracy.

SOU Skewed Morals | is it worth attending?

Honestly, I applied to go to SOU but after doing research and talking with staff and students I have known for a while. I am not so sure. They seem to act very caring and supportive. Any D&D Groups in the Area?

Hey all,

22 tF, looking to meet other people in person for D&D or other TTRPGs! Mostly looking for people around my age (early to mid 20s), but I don't have a problem going a little older

The games I know are:

  • D&D 5e
  • VAMPIRE 2e
  • Monster of the Week
  • Call of Cthulhu 7e

And I'd love to learn others! PLEASE teach me others

I currently live in Grants Pass, and I'd be willing to go as far as far as Ashland or Roseburg for sessions. Not looking for online groups, and I'm DMing for another group, so I won't be able to play DM

Looking forward to hearing from you all! Feel free to DM me :)
