14 year old went from -4.5 to -5.5 in 1 year. Need advice

Son went from -4.5 to -5.5. Optomologist says stellest isn’t an option based on the age and the fact that it’s now -5.5. We made an appointment with another office to get a second opinion but in meantime I would like to know if anyone has dealt with similar issue with your child and what route you went. Thanks

Is there anything I can do to stop a stye from becoming cellulitis

I have a kind of odd recurring eye problem -- every single time (about 5 times total) I've gotten a stye, it has become full-blown (doctor-diagnosed) preseptic cellulitis where my whole eyelid swells up, my skin becomes hot and purple and it spreads to even under my eye and on my cheek with hot, shiny, purple skin :(

In the past I've tried EVERYTHING to stop the beginning of a stye from becoming cellulitis and none worked: warm compress (I have the proper eye mask from my optometrist because of this recurring problem), antibiotic eye cream, washing the eyelid, massaging the eyelid towards the opening (with clean hands). Is there anything I can do to avoid this awful fate? Does it even make sense to see a doctor now (while it's just a little lump of a stye)? I live in Canada and have OHIP so it's free to go, but I think they're just going to send me home without any intervention if I don't have an infection or cellulitis ... yet, which to be fair, kind of makes sense :/

(it's probably from travel: changes in hygiene routine and poor sleep due to flights)

(please be nice--I'm already in pain and very worried about how this is going to pan out knowing how it's been the past 5 times and it's almost the weekend so I'm worried about stuff being closed when it becomes really bad cellulitis).
