Brainstorming on Cafe Hopper IDEA

Hey guys,

I have this idea of building cafe hopper. It can help people to filter cafes on different purposes like (Date, work, group hangout, reading) and it also display each cafe genuine reviews on Food and other amenities like ( WiFi, Plug points, Ambience, Noise, Coffee quality, Parking, Washrooms, Date-friendly, Work-friendly, Group-friendly)

The thing is its been long that I visited hyderabad and have no idea what is the current situation. I am planning to be there by next couple of months.

So people in hyd, can you help me on this idea? Do you think an app like this could actually add value? Do you think people are using cafes for various purposes and those details could actually help them?

Hyderabad PG Recommendations 🙏

Hi Hyderabad folks!

I am shifting to Hyderabad next week and I’m looking for a PG in Hyderabad and would really appreciate some first-hand recommendations.

If you’re currently staying in a PG (or have stayed in one recently), could you please share the PG name/location and your experience with:

🍱 Food quality and variety

⚡ Electricity/power backup

🧹 Cleanliness & housekeeping

💰 Monthly rent + other charges

🏠 Single/double sharing options

🔐 How independent or strict the PG is

🚿 Water availability

📶 Wi-Fi quality

🏢 Overall experience

I’m especially interested in PGs that are reasonably independent and not overly strict.

Even if you have a good/bad experience with a particular PG, please drop it in the comments. It would really help someone new to Hyderabad avoid making the wrong choice.

Thanks in advance! 🙌

Hyderabad Bookies - Would anyone be interested in starting a "Bookies" silent reading chapter in Hyd

Hey everyone, I’ve been following Shantanu Naidu for a while and really love what he and his team started with Bookies in Mumbai (and now Pune/Bengaluru). For anyone not familiar, it's a super low-maintenance, community-driven silent reading meetup aimed at helping people unplug and get back into reading.

The setup is as straightforward as it gets:

  • When: Weekend mornings (usually 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
  • What: Bring whatever book you’re currently reading, put your phone on silent, and read quietly together for 2 hours.
  • Vibe: Zero entry fees, no forced networking, no required discussions or assignments. Afterwards, there's usually a quick, optional 15–20 minutes to chat or grab coffee if you feel like it, but zero pressure if you just want to head out.

It’s basically a forced, peaceful two hours away from screens in a nice outdoor or quiet spot.

Before trying to set anything up, I wanted to check with the community here:

Does a Bookies chapter (or a similar silent reading group) already exist in Hyderabad? If so, please drop the details below so I can join!

If not, would you be interested in starting one?

Also, if anyone knows of a good public park space, quiet outdoor venue, or café that might be open to hosting/sponsoring a spot for readers on weekend mornings, let me know.

Drop a comment if you'd be up to join or have venue suggestions—if we get enough interest, we can figure out a location for the first session!

Dermatologist Suggestion

Hi, I’m living in Hyderabad now and not native of this place and I’m looking for a good Dermatologist suggestion. I live in Manikonda and would prefer nearby based doctors. I have acne scars on my cheeks and I want to get my skin even. I consulted Dr. Keerthi Reddy Narra, however she insisted on PRP for hair scalp which I believe is not required in my case so don’t feel like taking treatment from her.

What Should One Do When One is Feeling Lonely Despite Having People Around Me?

Hi to whoever is reading this,

I am a regular IT introverted guy who works a 9-to-5 job. I don't have many friends. The only people I regularly talk to are my coworkers, and even then, our conversations are mostly about work.

My best friends from college are busy with their own lives. Most of the time, when I try to talk to them, I feel like I am forcing them to have a conversation with me. I don't think there is necessarily a lack of interest in talking to me; rather, we don't have the same common topics to discuss anymore like we used to in college—things like ranting about professors, exams, movies, and other random stuff.

I understand that people change with time, so I stopped disturbing them.

You might say, "If you don't have friends, what about your family? Can't you talk to them?"

I feel like friends respond better than family members. Recently, most of my conversations with my family have been related to money. I don't feel much emotional support when I talk to them, and that makes me feel even more lonely.

So, I feel lonely and depressed most of the time.

I have tried adopting a few habits to get rid of this feeling, but after some time, I lose interest in all of them. I even tried dating apps in the hope of meeting new people and making new friends, but I haven't had much success there either.

Is this normal for a guy in his mid-to-late 20s? Do I need to seek some kind of help?

Any sensible and understanding person is welcome to comment below.

Note: I will ignore comments containing even a small amount of negativity. Please be positive and spread some positivity at least once in your lifetime.

Where can I buy vacuum fried vegetable chips in Hyderabad?

To the corporate bikers of Hyderabad - where exactly are you rushing to?

Genuinely asking. Every single morning, every single evening, same nonsense. Cutting lanes, jumping signals, overtaking from the left like it's normal.

Where are you going? To the job you crib about all week? Home, where you're in no rush to reach on a Sunday? Whatever it is, it'll still be there if you show up four minutes later. I promise.

And can we be honest about why more of you aren't dead — it's not your riding. It's that the guy in the car next to you is the one paying attention and braking for you. You've been mistaking other people's caution for your own skill this whole time.

The thing that actually gets me is the pillion. I've seen grown men weaving through traffic at speed with their wife behind them. With a kid. Half the time no helmet on either of them. You'd get into a fistfight if someone disrespected your family, but you'll bet their heads on saving ninety seconds. That's not being in a hurry. That's just failing the one job you actually have.

And the delivery guys ride better than you. They're the ones with a clock actually running. You have a salaried job and a fixed login time and you still treat the signal like a suggestion.

If you don't care about your own life, fine, that's yours to waste. But you're not alone out there. Someone's waiting for you at home. And some poor guy in a car is going to carry the memory of hitting you for the rest of his life, over a mistake that was fully yours.

Slow down. Stay in your lane. Wait for the light. Wear a helmet, and put one on whoever's sitting behind you.

It's not complicated. You're just not doing it

Telugu Dating Culture and other things

Hey guys, so I've been living here in Hyderabad for half a year.....and I've noticed certain things.

One is that telugu people especially, seem to have strict rules and traditions/standards??....I'm not getting the right words but they're not very open minded basically.

The things that led me to think like this are:

  1. I have many telugu friends.....2 of them are girls and I've never seen them in western dresses....and by dresses I mean bodycon, knee or above length dresses ...like those....forget about skirts and shorts. That is still fine...that maybe even they're not comfortable themselves.

But once one of them whom I'm close to .....told me that in home she cannot even wear tshirt and trousers.....that her dad gets angry.😐 Which shocked me to be honest.

  1. There are so many north people or people outside Telangana living here cuz of jobs right.....I'm the same....but I feel like there's so much staring....I mean what's the deal with this? Once my college friend visited hyd for an exam and I took her to Tank bund road....as it was late and she has to leave the next day.....i have to say the experience was so bad.....and i realised maybe the place was the bad idea.....but still the people passing by and the ones even on bikes were staring so so much ......we felt so unsafe and we went back. I'm sure she will never come back here. 🥹

  2. This is something I'm just curious about:

So as I said in the first point that people here are not very open minded....like way too strict......umm...I mean like parents are very strict. But I see telugu couples everywhere I go in Hi-tech City.....so how do you guys convince ur parents??..... Do you fight for your person?.....How does it end?....I'm asking this cuz I got to know many of the guy's break up story....and so many of them are like the girl's parents were strict....or they arranged for her marriage kind of......

At last, I'm just a third person observing all these ....I wanna know the reality.....

Also, I'm not trying to offend anyone here .....

Query for passport re-issue in Hyderabad | CBSE 10th Marksheet or Pass Certificate

Hi Folks
I am applying for a renewal of my passport. I have original 10th CBSE marksheet. Would that work for Non-ECR documentation? I don't have the pass certificate with me. If anyone of you have used CBSE 10th marksheet for application recently then let me know.
